This is a really fun game. Shooting Nazi zombies is the best. Not a lot of story or strategy here, but the first person shooting is fantastic. The only problem are the DLC's - they cost 3 times as much as the original game and deliver 1/3 of the content. I wish they would just offer a reasonably priced package for everything.

Wooh, rough ride ! ^o^ So , I went nuts with this game, finished the main story ( + all collectibles ) in about 37 hours, in merely 3 days. What I loved about this game : - It really felt very balanced, you are not too powerful and neither the zombies are. - There weren't really bugs anywhere, at least I didn't find any - The guns feel really nice - Weapons are quite customizable and so is your character ( perks , look ) - The story is quite interesting - And of course, we got cinematics when we bust eyeballs off zombies - The upgrade path felt comfortable enough till one point ( end of the story ? ) What felt off : - I really had to watch some videos to find the collectibles and even with that, it takes such a long time to complete everything, go back and check again. So yeah, in all these 38 hours, I did get all collectibles - from main story so take that into account - Not too many people in multiplayer, sadly - For some achievements on Steam, you have to play with friends. Well, that shouldn't really be a big problem, it's ok to do a few revives, but the game asks for even 30 revives and even to complete all campaings with a full squad of 4 people ?!?! I mean, I can maybe convince a friend to join me for a few rounds, but that is ridiculous ! What felt waay too off : - Some of Steam Achivements require you to buy the DLCs to complete them... errr... I'm sorry, but even if I would have to join someone else that has that DLC, I don't want to let possible trolls ruin the runs or disconnect me at the end, the Steam Achievements should be available only for the free components of the game.. - I like to try and make Perfect games on Steam, and I love zombies, but the points above made me take a break from the game because I don't see the reason to grind for something I cannot get in the end ( cause yeah, the game is 'a bit' grindy ) But yeah, shooting zombies is fun, ngl, and the job is well done, great graphics, gameplay and mechanics. So I'm gonna still easily recommend the game ^o^/ If you love zombies like I do, and a good shooter, should you skip this game ? The answer is simple : NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! NEIN!

A game that I truly enjoyed much later after discovering how fun this game is on the most highest difficulty! My first playthroughs involved casual runs through the campaign and honestly it was boring and not very exciting. However if you plan to farm collectables and gun upgrade challenges, then this is the way to do it. Guns feel fairly nice to use, headshots are satisfying, combo's are addictive, intensity is an adrenaline rush, specials are fun and characters are great! I wish they continued to work more on this game and released more content. I also wished the seasonal passes didn't cost so much after all these years. 97% of my hours was duo'ing this game. I can say this is one of the most fun zombie shooters to date. I generally hate horde mode, but this games horde mode is so fun, the intensity is exhilarating. Campaigns have objectives and are decently long. Must be played on higher difficulties to enjoy it a lot more honestly. High replayability and would probably be great as a full squad =) Pick it up on discount and wait for season passes to go on sale.

This game feels like a third person WWII Left 4 Dead. It is an extremely enjoyable experience, however, I do have my grievances. "Levels" are "chapters" in this game. Each level (set piece) has four of what I'll call "missions". The missions within each chapter can sometimes get monotonous. For example, a mission may just be, "clear this area" or "survive the horde", with some small thing to do, like flip a switch. After which, the safe room door unlocks and you can run in, ending the level. The mission will end and you will start the next mission in the safe room. The set pieces are all unique and memorable, and I love the start menu artwork for each level. It reminds me of 1950s horror movie posters (in the same vein as L4D2's levels). I beat the main campaign (non-DLC) on Medium my first playthrough, and I would say that there were only a few times that I felt like I was going to die. The game provides you with plenty of ammo boxes (which I like), so unless you are completely flippant with your ammo usage, you should always have some kind of weapon (and of course, melee). There are multiple levels of difficulty and, to be honest, I have yet to try Hard or above. With each difficulty, you can separately select the number of enemies spawned, based on how many people you are playing with. For example, if it's just you and you don't want to be overwhelmed, you can select "One Player". If you want a challenge, you can select up to "Four Players". The final option is "Nightmare", essentially fills areas with hordes of zombies, with a few heavies/specials sprinkled into the mix for good measure. These options provide players with in-depth difficulty settings, which I appreciate. Sometimes I want to complete a challenge that requires a lot of kills, but I don't feel like trying too hard. I'll just choose "Easy" as the difficulty, and "Nightmare" for the number of zombies. Each mission has a score counter. You can earn a higher score through kill-chains, basically shooting zombies in succession (within a time frame), or through double kills, etc. Once you reach the safe room, you are awarded XP based on your mission score. The XP system in this game is similar to most, with each level unlocking things like perks or cosmetic items. The level cap is 100, but you can "Prestige" and start again. As of this review, I am a level 60, but from what I've read, nothing resets upon prestige. I have absolutely no clue what the highest prestige is, but I saw a guy on YouTube that was a prestige 5. Aside from the story mode, there is also a horde mode. You select a map and it plays much like Call of Duty's zombie mode, with each wave getting more and more difficult. Once you complete wave 12, you can extract or continue (much like CoD). This mode will also earn you XP which, just like story mode, is based on your mission score. To be fair, most of the horde maps are just extensions of the story mode maps, but I can't fault the developers. If you are a fan of CoD zombies like me, you'll enjoy this mode (and the game as a whole). The one thing about this game I cannot stand is the amount of DLC. Luckily, I was able to purchase this game during the 2023 winter sale, so the base game was only $10, with each season pass being around $18 (season 1 pass is free). The DLC missions aren't bad (I've played two chapters so far) and the season passes do add a lot of content. However, if I had just bought the base game, I would have a very limited selection of weapons. Many of the DLC weapons are fun and unique, so that's a bummer for those who don't have any DLC. I do recommend getting the DLC, but only if it's on sale. For what it's worth, I do enjoy this game and plan on sinking some serious time into it. I also appreciate that Rebellion actually included swastikas in the game. It's always a little lame when WWII games focus on Nazis but all the flags are Iron Crosses or something (I get that the imagery is banned in some countries). I think the Nazi stuff is a little played out, but I like WWII history and the game is fun regardless. I think you should buy this game, but only on sale. I think $50 is a little steep for the base game.
