I've been playing the game for a bit and really thing it has potential to be right next to games like project Zomboid while both being in beta and having being different in gameplay styles. i really like the simplicity of combat For Range/Melee. it just needs a bit of tweaking but not alot. the world design itself is great but the player movement and Physics connecting the world are quite janky. Not saying the movement is bad In fact i think its great, It just needs some polish. the realism in game feels just like project Zomboid listing Nutrient, Sickness, body temperature penalties, carry weight(never really an issue just capacity Space), traits, Mood, and combat being a bit different. The reason I keep comparing the 2 games is because their just really but also quite different Mainly on the Emphasis of combat which i Believe Zed Zone does it better and more engaging. The game is overall pretty Great love the design, atmosphere and gameplay would recomend really excited for a new Updated.

The game is great for what you pay for it. Good game play loop, can get intense at the drop of a dime and there is a big crafting list/survival mechanics. All the people crying in the reviews are the reason indie devs have such a hard time getting anywhere. They'd rather pay $70 for a heap of trash like Kill the Justice League. Its $12 lol

So far, this has been a fun game worth playing. I don't have a huge number of hours in the game (~7), but it certainly has a lot of potential. It is a fairly intricate survival game with zombie/mutant/horror elements. In the first few games I played, I died until I could figure out the basics of survival and not being killed instantly by the mutants. There are a few helpful starting-out guides on the community page of the game that will help you get on your feet. This game certainly is not for those of you who are looking for an easy, happy-go-lucky survival game. There are plenty of Project Zomboid elements built into the game as well, which, for me, is a huge plus. There are a few reviews about saves being completely corrupted and a few other bugs, but so far, I have had no issues or even any minor bugs to speak of. As for the validity of older reviews, I could not attest to them as I bought the game fairly recently at the time of review. Something else to mention is that the game does have an English option, and is translated very well for what I assume is a small developer. (I was concerned the game wouldn't have English, or the translation would be very poor, but I was happily surprised.) That said, there are a few areas where the Chinese (I think) hasn't been translated, but it's nothing that will truly impact gameplay as of yet. There are also some very small UI issues, where the text runs off of the button/menu/screen rather than wrapping, but there is very little of this, and I play on a stranger resolution than most (3440x1440). That said, Zed Zone is still in its Beta, and it is not a big issue, as it is not very impactful. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the game and would recommend it to others. There are very minor issues that I am sure will be worked out of the game shortly, and there seems to be a lot of content planned for the future from what I can tell so far.
