I've owned this game for a while now and it's gone through plenty of changes. I'll say however that it's latest major updates have changed it for the better quite a bit. The exploration mode (which costs in game currency) is actually really fun and can earn you lots of in game currency just doing quests. But the exploring aspect is quite well done now and much more interesting than the early days. For new and old players, I'd say now is the time to come back and take a look. My only major problem is that the melee combat is a little weird but it's not too bad. TLDR: New updates make to exploration make the game worth playing.

Honestly this game deserves more attention than it got. If it would've launched closer to the state its in now, it would've been a huge hit. Its chill but super fun, especially with friends. Its like a more relaxed version of Valheim but with way more endgame possibilities. And yes, the game is free but theres some things that cost money if you want to experience them. I dont blame the devs at all. If it wasn't for that this game wouldve been dead already. I give them props for continuing to update and support this diamond in the rough even with its low player count.

i got this game back in 2018 had not played it in such a long time but this game is still fun got to remeber how to build tho but it is a fun game building Boats Cars and Buildings and Cannons to Fire

If you love building, ships, exploring, and games where you "make your own fun" then give this one a go! Ylands is a game that has evolved over the years, and it's very obviously a labor of love. Mechanics and decisions by the devs did not always hit the mark, but too often you'll see games just get discarded after poor reception. Not Ylands. These devs, for whatever reason, are unrelenting in their attempts to make this game better, and it shows. This is not the game it was 5 years ago, 3 years ago, even 1 year ago. They just keep making it better. Also if you do pick this game up, make sure to join the Ylands Discord! I have rarely found a more accepting, helpful, friendly, and fun community. The devs and players alike are passionate about this quirky boat game, and really only by trying it out, will you see why!

This is and has been my most played game, its a relaxing charming game full of character, its similar to mine craft in the was everything is mined and crafted, graphics are beautiful sun sets are amazing. you Can craft boats and sail across huge oceans find lost Islands and explore like indiana jones
