Xlll is a rare gem of classic fps/stealth with comic book frames based ironically on a comic book from the 80s where the protagonist finds himself with a forgotten memory and from the start he finds himself in a game of intrigue and conspiracy to find his identity. Unfortunately, the ending adds a string to a sequel that has never been made outside the comics. The composition is a top notch noir with a certain degree of elevation depending on the certainty of being stealthy or found. It's a determined and recommended classic, but given its ending you're left waiting for a reliable game sequel that will never make it to the big screen.

Grab this and go on PCGamingWiki to play the game at modern resolutions and with other fixes (FOV, 120Hz, etc.) instead of grabbing the awful remake. The shooting is alright for a game from this era. The game is a bit on the easy side, but some of the checkpoints are at annoying spots. I recommend grabbing this game for the decent plot, and if you want to know what happens after the game (there was never a sequel made, unfortunately), the game is based off a comic series of the same name, which has been finished.

XIII – an absolute classic from an era when Ubisoft was capable of making good games. The comics style of the game was definitely it’s first selling point for me back in the day. And once you jumped into it, you'd fall for that style completely. There’s quite a bit of missions, the gameplay was innovative with variety of weapons you could use. Want to smash your enemies head with a chair? Go ahead. Want to throw a knife at someone? You can do that. Just want to go classic and fill the oponent with bullets? Can do that, too. And it’s all super fun. And of course the story, it’s also very entertaining and you can get lost in it. If you haven’t read the XIII comics before, you’d probably want to dive into that after playing through the game. Overall – absolutely recommended. I have yet to compare it to the new one by myself, but from what I’ve seen the Original is the better option. First played it in 2003, this game is amazing. The weapon sounds are good and the multiplayer modes are excellent. I always liked the kill cam when you throw a knife or crossbow at the enemy's head. The stealth missions in the camp are pretty nice too. But, I will never forgive Ubisoft for not making a second part and ending the game on a serious cliffhanger.
