This game made me fall in love with Pinball. I came into this with basically no pinball experience, and the opening hour was jarring, confusing, overwhelming, and constantly followed by a feeling of a lack of control. I didn't understand the objectives, I didn't understand the value of tilting, and to be frank, my eyes didn't understand a single f**king thing happening on the screen, but the music and visuals were enticing and inviting, so I kept playing. As time went by my scores started going up bit by bit, objectives began to make sense and became things I actually aimed for; the music evolved into glorious multiball celebration soundtracks and the visuals all began to become clear. Sure it remains completely overwhelming and my eyes are just not fast enough to keep track of the ball sometimes but it went from this uncontrollable "number go up for dopamine release" game to an actual controlled game. Sure it's manic and I still suck at it but.... I get it now. I've never played on a real pinball table, and I know that experience will differ from this, this game does all sorts of insane mechanics that a real table just couldn't, but it got me past that curve of understanding the appeal; how the game of pinball is one of balance between controlled, aimed shots, and absolute unpredictability and reaction. You can plan your shots and play your goals but at some point some unpredictable bounce will make the whole thing go off the rails and suddenly you find yourself trying to regain control of a fast moving ball with a life of its own... And it's a wonderful feeling. I am not good at xenotilt; I am out of control way more often than I am in control, but I'm learning, and the numbers are slowly going up as I immerse myself in the cacophony of lights and sound. If like me you have little to no pinball experience, the early moments are a confusing and frustrating nightmare, but be enticed by the promise of improvement the game gives you, lose yourself to it and learn, bit by bit. And if you happen to be anything like me, suddenly pinball might become a game that is in many ways beautiful. P.S. Tangentially to this I watched a film called "Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game". It's not an incredible movie but it is sweet and is very immersed in the passion and allure of pinball, treating the game as a sort of analogy for life itself while also having some really interesting bits and pieces about the history of the game and I just figured I'd recommend it here as a fun movie to watch if you find yourself interested in the game of pinball. That's all, now you all go and have a good day :)

There is much of the same Demon's Tilt experience here in XENOTILT, but with newly added features and action in the game, you'll easily tell the developers learned from their first game. XENOTILT is even more chaotic, and the EX minigames do not disappoint at all. The new Crisis mode puts a new spin on the game, and the Sudden Death barrier warrants wise play as it slowly ascends at the tail end of the run. I'll definitely be putting more hours into this; hopefully will end up scoring into the trillions.

One of, if not the best video pinball game on Steam. Also check out the studio's previous pinball game, Demon's Tilt.

this is a pretty hardcore and amazing pinball table it might seem confusing at first, but watch any explanation run on youtube, it's like 40 minutes and the payoff totally worth it what i especially love is that the runs are super short, like 10 minutes, which is perfect when you don't have any time to play something longer, and you can actually sense your progress in skills and mastery from one run to another the game is super fast paced and might come off as chaotic, and it's definitely not for everyone, but if it looks like something you might try, then do. if you'll love this, you'll REALLY love this

Comparing to DEMON'S TILT + Way more content + Effects are better - Physics are too slippery for my liking and rely on tilting way too much - Table kinda ugly (Hard to avoid with the amount of content) In conclusion, play DEMON'S TILT first and play this once you want more. Both are 110% worth the price and worth your time if you enjoy multi-tiered pinball games or just a good table.
