March 2025
Picked this game up on sale last week. Glad I did, enjoying it. It is early access so expect bugs and glitches. Spent a day or 2 figuring things out on the fly, community was helpful. The scale of this game is huge, it is a long plan and play, but possibilities are great. Just starting a nation and managing the economy and people is a game in itself. Then start dealing with other nations, you can play nice or be totally hated. Get friendly and make trades for what you need. Insult some nations and piss them off but expect world consequences. Want to take down a superpower? it could be done. Want to mow your way through some little nations? go ahead but you might make some big enemies. The dev seems to be listening to his audience and adding requested improvements, that is nice to see. So, good game having fun. Planning to spend many hours here. Be patient it is early access, but put in some effort, ask questions in discussion if you get stumped. Once you figure it out you will enjoy it.

I remember playing this game before its rework. Im happy to say that the games improved a lot in both mechanics and style. Im very excited for new content to be released, as while the economy and political mechanics of the game are extremely well balanced in regards to fun and depth, it still does eventually get stale and new content to freshen up the game would be much appreciated. Overall im very happy to see that the developer has not abandoned the game and is still putting effort into developing this game into what it should be, a groundbreaking addition to the geopolitical game genre. If the developer decides to read this review, what i would like to see the most is the addition of formable nations and a good variety of events.

I keep uninstalling due to bugs and playability, but I keep reinstalling because I cant stay away. The deepness and complexity keeps me coming back. Cant wait till the game is further along in development. Feels like we have a modern day HOI game here. Really fun trying to tweek and balance an economy just wish it worked right (early access).

It's going to be the biggest surprise of 2025 of its genre, I just know it. Developers dedicating themselves to the point of redoing almost all the game to make it even more perfect, bug proof, user friendly, complex but at the same time not too overwhelming? And all of this without going AWOL, making false promises or creating version 1, 2, 3, etc like other franchises that promise a new revolutionary game dynamic to be just the same only more buggier. Where do we see this kind of commitment and honesty nowadays? Well, we see it here. Yeah, its normal that you are upset, anxious, frustrated or even sceptic because it's a great game with a huge potential that fans really want to play as smoothly and soon as posible, but I'll end it as I begun, will be the biggest best surprise of its genre this year, "wait...just...one more...turn".

I want to start off by saying that if you want a playable game that you can spread your boarders and upset the world and deal with the back lash, this is not there yet. I say yes because of the other games that the developers gave up on. This like the others this can be that game everyone wants to play to scratch that geo-political itch. SR2030 was the last game that let the fan base down. They have a sound base, but went on to their next game with out finishing 2030. I am in the corner of this one now because they are not Battle Goat Studios or Golem Labs. I have seen these companies at their best and watched them grab for cash and let the game suffer. This is a young company and I have seen the hunger of a young company create some good things. I am sure this one will. Supreme Ruler(SR) was great in the begining. But the leap from SR2020 to SR2030 was a let down, they are already making their next game and have not even fixed the basic issues that were in the demo. I want to support this game, so maybe it will be the diamond in the ruff. Right now the game just runs, not much happens. You can change the budget and some laws and see how it effects the overwhelming numbers that it has to throw at you. You can invade the guy next door with out any back lash, you may get condemned by half the world but right now that does not mean much. You can be the GOD of War and make tons of Arms sales to anybody and everybody, but you can't add a single tank to your armed service without an act of congress.(I played as India). You can click on your deployed armies and can not edit them or even see what they consist of. So if you deploy troops you need a good memory so you know what is there. You can merge existing armies, not knowing what is in them of course. When you invade next door you will get a breif run down of the two armies and what they consist of, but after the battle it is next to impossible to tell who and what dies in all the kaos. As India I took control of Nepal and their was no way for me to tell if they were loyal or if they were planning a coo. I have black ops, but I could not put people in there. I can spy on my own people, but not specific regions. I have increased my Cyber security to level 2, but I cant tell if it has done anything for me or not. I have started black ops in Pakistan and Myanmar, but the 1500 days have not ticked off yet, so I don't know what I will be able to do with that. I have auto trade enabled and it seems to be doing well. I clicked on my sectors and saw I wanted some buildings that I was lacking and built a years worth and got some number in the 1000's and I cannot correct or stop it. It has been 2 and a half years and I am still building these buildings with no end in sight and the drag on my budget is getting to me. I want to grow my military, but I need to pass a budget and I have things in my budget that I cant get rid of like the buildings I don't want to be building anymore. I am still stuck on the fact that I can be building up the Russian army and cant add to my own. I can not go around the national blockade of Iran. If I make a deal in secret the whole world knows about it, so why have the secret deals. I have black ops, so why cant I supply them with what ever I want. I sold Launchers for nukes to Palistine with no global feed back and sold them Nuclear missiles for them at a great profit I might add. I am allied with Russia, China and Iran, but that does not mean much. I cant get on the horn with them and say hey I want to invade Nepal, what do you think about that. Or how about China you hit Tiwan and Russia you go into Ukriane and I will Invade Nepal. We can all do this in September of 2021. We cant get together and work against the West. We dont even seem to have any special cases for trading. Yea, we are trade partners, but other than my auto trade I cant get much info from trading. I click on a country and nothing. I click on a region outside of my country and nothing. I cant tell what is in my units, so there is no way of figuring out what units are on my boarder. These are all things that should be addressed and I am hopeful that this company wont let us down, so please help support the game. India now controls the Middle East and has plans on Turkey!
