Decent card game in the vein of Cultist Sim / Stacklands. There are some problems, but the aesthetics carry it. Balance wise, some cards are either unimpressive (e.g. 10% village bonuses, lots of the wonders) or objectively useless (e.g. 10% astrologian is worse than just another building). Void rifts seem to be the difficulty ramp, but they scale too slowly to be meaningful. Otherwise attack power can scale infinitely via swords to trivialize everything. Even the super duper final boss was a pushover. Automation is paced well. It comes in just as you're getting tired of manually dealing with cards, but the nexus building from magnets instead of magnet chests makes all your magnet chests wasted resources. Felt kinda bad. Also late game performance is kind of unacceptable for a 2d card game. It really shouldn't be dropping below 60fps.

I believe games like Stacklands, which I first experienced and thoroughly enjoyed, could mark the rise of a new genre I'd like to call "Card Factory" games. These games create a unique sensation of managing a card-based production system, a concept I'm eager to see evolve. WitchHand takes this idea further by incorporating a charming magical theme. I was so captivated by it that I unlocked every achievement available. Despite my overall enjoyment, I encountered some frustrations, such as the ineffective "lock card" feature, which failed to keep cards stationary. Additionally, the spawning of traders and other events often disrupted my setup by appearing in the middle of my buildings and displacing them. Aside from the annoyance of cards moving unexpectedly and cluttering the play area, I genuinely appreciated the game and am excited about the potential growth of this genre.

Hey, the game is quite cute and lovely. Has quite bit of depth and automation. Took me about 7.5 hours to beat the game? Overall worth it, but if have lower spec PC I maybe would wait for few patches as game starts to slow down and lag bit with 100 to 1000+ cards on your board and like when selling late game and you get 100+ coins at one time the game will freeze for few seconds. But overall its very fun and addicting game. But Wondering bit if there is that much replay value? Have not tried to other witches but do seem to give quite different run. So could see 2-3 runs at least if you like the game.

Very fun, very cute game about the daily challenges of being a silly little witch. Huge recommendation if you enjoyed Stacklands - This game is similar, but expands on the concept and mechanics a lot in some really interesting ways.
