Slow start in terms of horror but absolutely worth the build up. Oh, and I'm also crying now and I haven't even finished the game yet.

This was such a good game! it left me wanting more. the ending really got me and i balled my eyes out.

This is a (as far as I know) linear visual novel, and as such for most of the runtime it is very easy. However, the 3D sections can be difficult (especially for a VN) and I died quite a few time in two parts to the point of frustration. There isn't a way to skip the 3D sections with actually difficult gameplay, which is a tad annoying given how easy everything else is. There are jumpscares, including during sections where you wouldn't expect them. Ending spoiler: Was kinda disappointed that in the end it was revealed that the winions were in an "illegal extra-evil program where when the winions think they become adults that actually have the same super evil thing done to them" cause even without the over the top evilness the way winions are treated seems kinda unethical. The ending was also super abrupt (and told with white text on a blank black background, the first time anything is told like that in the game), with the good cops busting the super evil illegal company and making things right. Felt like they ran out of time to make a more proper ending, though giving how overly evil they made becoming an adult winion anything but a "bad system is completely defeated" sort of ending would leave a very sour taste in my mouth. Note on English translation: For the actual VN game the translation is mostly good, though there is the occasional spelling error. However there is also a more traditional virtual pet raising section which is unlocked after you finish the VN which isn't translated into English yet (as of time of writing) EDIT: They deleted the desktop mode less than a day after this review for being unfinished lol.
