Goodness gracious...! New start. New adventure. Fun, fun, fun! New companions, exploration and information. Curious, curiousness and curiosier. Then all of a sudden...............! Omg, omg, omg! Morally grey areas. Who's really the bad guy? Everything leading up to......... Pain, pain and more pain. Good? Was there really any good? Bad? Was everything as bad as it says? Which choice was really the right one? Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts... (Argh! This story is good. Like it may take a slow start, but damn if it doesn't go crazy shortly afterwards! If you are here for romancing the animals? Ain't like that buddy. There is some of that, but... It's not a Dating Sim... It's more like "love/relationships amidst the war"... Focused purely on the story/world building/characters and what drives them/their pasts and I would say romance will be like the last thing on anyone's mind.) (I thought some more and damn... I nearly didn't want to read the ending. There are two. But if you expect me to tell you if they are good or not....... WAH!) (Anyway kudos... Just kudos. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3)

A fun story with a lot of surprisingly difficult choices to consider throughout it's run. It's nothing absolutely groundbreaking but I do like a few of the features in this game that I don't see in many other VNs, notably the ability to do a sort of "meanwhile" side conversation between other members of your party as well as actions happening at the same time involving others outside your party. The art overall is nice and backgrounds especially have a nice painterly style to them. If you like some nice JRPG-like storytelling with some obviously furry flair, I think this VN is worth your time to check out!

Compared to its predecessor, Major\Minor, this visual novel wasnā€™t made in RPG Maker, so we finally have a skip button and the ability to save at any time. The game is also voice-acted, and while I think the voice actors did an okay job, you can mute them in the preferences. Additionally, the game features a point-and-click system that allows you to inspect your surroundings, a map with movable locationsā€”features that are quite rare in visual novels nowadays compared to point-and-click adventure games. The story is enjoyable, but I wouldnā€™t say itā€™s memorable, compared to the characters, who leave a better impression. This time the characters have more sprite variations, allowing their expressions to change to reflect their emotions, and I really enjoyed their vivid fantasy design. Despite the tag, I wouldnā€™t really call this game a "dating sim", while dating is part of the game, itā€™s not a pivotal aspect of it. The unique aspects that stayed: Klaceā€™s writing style remains similar, and the story is structured like a TV series, shifting the narrative from the player and cliffhangers to side characters through parallel chronicles, giving the novel a unique TV series feel. The problems that stayed: Just like in Major/Minor, the main character feels somewhat unnecessary and bland. Rather than being a true protagonist, they come across as more of a nameless cast member. This wouldnā€™t necessarily be a problem if the game didnā€™t also emphasize how important your character is supposed to be. Additionally, the ending feels rushed. The game provides a voiced ā€œPowerPoint presentationā€ summarizing what happens to the rest of the cast in a few paragraphs. I would recommend this game if you're looking for a furry-themed fantasy experience. While the story is fairly average, the characters make up for it. I especially enjoyed Ulric, Halin, and Howl, who stood out as my favorites.

What an absolutely amazing game The plot is 10/10 I also love the fact that you can romance different characters and also have poly relationships And the different endings you can get are also really good Between all of the endings, the romance, the characters and the music you cannot go wrong Thank you also to all the voice actors and the devs Great game

Fantastic, FULLY-voiced (yup, even the optional side-scenes) visual novel with plenty of interesting, morally ambiguous choices to make, and an adorable, furry cast of characters. The performances on show from many of the voice actors were great, with a couple emotional moments being particular standouts that had me on the edge of my seat. The soundtrack does a good job in setting the mood without being so noticeable as to detract from the dialogue happening at the same time, with the super special treat of a full song with VOCALS playing just as the world really opens up to you -- it was so good that I listened to the whole thing before continuing on to start new scenes (the vocal track (smartly!) did not play during any scene with dialogue). What stood out most to me though is this game's worldbuilding. Whoever was responsible for the worldbuilding went HARD; at some point it just feels like you're really THERE, that these places and their respective peoples' cultures actually EXIST. Winds of Change is an easy recommendation to make to VN fans, and a wonderful addition to the OELVN scene at large.
