Magnificently insane. Never thought I'd see a Naval Ops spiritual successor. Much less one with an iceberg ship big enough to SAIL OTHER SHIPS INSIDE OF, ridiculously big guns, ship vs. giant robot, etc. The plot is a popcorn action movie, which serves well enough as a vehicle for whatever madness the devs want to throw at you next. (I do wish there were some more postgame content to let you use the supership you've built up, but c'est la vie.)

I turned on Chaos Effects to see what would happen, and an orbital laser killed the boss of the map as it chased after me. 10/10 Seriously though, it's fun, getting new parts feels great, and you always wanna go back and tweak your builds one more time.

This game is badass. You can Tokyo-drift your WW2 battleship behind enemy robots for maximum damage with your plasma cannons. And you can look good doing it with a fancy battleship-hat. I skipped every cut scene, so no idea what the story was. Seemed a bit "sweet baby" but I wont comment out of ignorance. The game itself is a brilliant arcade naval combat game with a decent customisation system and a decent enemy variety. It plays a bit like EDF, but with boats. Missions are similar in structure, and the progression is similar in that both the enemies and your weapons will grow increasingly outlandish as the game progresses. During missions you collect a lot of boat parts and weapon types. In between missions you can then customise your ship with your collected parts. Very highly recommended.

Love the game, semi scratches that itch of wanting a new Naval Ops sequel. The game has been out for a while but I didn't even realize it existed until this year and I've been dying for a game like this for so long. So I hope it gets more attention one day as I feel this type of ship builder is overlooked by the masses. The added skills for dodging, jumping, ramming give it a fun and unique play style from your regular battleship game. There's a lot of unique and funny weapons/ships to find that you can use to make your own fighting style, up close with a drill, far with cannons or just random with lasers, flamethrowers and even a bunny cannon. Only serious con that comes to mind is not being able to build a Carrier as I really love those ships. Other than that there hasn't really been anything game breaking or bad that I've disliked. I hope this type of game doesn't completely die out as I feel it's a hidden gem type alongside the likes of Iron Brigade with the part customization features. Here's hoping for the future!
