I love the idea of using the little figurines. And the neat slow-down mechanic gives you time to complete a series of moves while keeping on the pressure to act w.o. overthinking everything. It's cool to shop new weapons and gear, and that it's rarely the same items that are in the shop two visits in a row. You can build you war band's members to have specific roles in combat, like a tank and a damage heavy figurine, ranged, etc. There are some small caveats, like for some of the starting chars the initial personal ability cards are better than the ones you unlock with level-up (imo), but all in all a surprisingly addictive game.

Neat game, cool concept. game play is a bit boring, and the way you move your figures around the play board is kind of wonky. But it's a pretty cool game with RPG elements that i enjoy. some of the levels are rather difficult even with good equipment. I don't like that you are limited to only 3 figures at a time on the game board. Also there seems to be a lack of figures in the tavern that you can buy only like 4 or something you start out with two (so only 6 all together in the whole game?) that's rather disappointing wish there was a bigger pool of figures you could buy. So those two things make the game feel a bit restricting. not sure if you can play with more in later boards, but I've played about 5 boards and have yet to been able to deploy more then 3 at a time. Otherwise like I said neat game would recommend. (if you can get it on sale!)
