VR Controls are very well executed. The gameplay is very fun. I find the 'Realistic' mode to be the sweet spot for me. Missions are challenging with plenty of variety. Leaning out of the cockpit with a flare gun to shoot down a blimp is amazing in VR. The visuals while flying are breathtaking. Really enjoying the game immensely.

This is one of the most hard core titles compatible with Yaw motion simulators. Unfortunately when making really dramatic diving turns, your view tends to get spun backwards. A quick re-centering works decent enough. It is essentially plug and play easy utilizing the free Yaw Game Engine software. Run the game, Start the plug in and start up your Yaw and boom. Very realistic plane simulation beyond the recalibration in motion simulators. A must have for Yaw owners. Yaw Pro Motion Simulator Settings: Power - 60 to 75 Pitch Forward - 25 Pitch Backward - 33 Roll - 32 Yaw - if you aren’t using a custom separate full body tracker to guide the Yaw, you’ll want to limit Yaw to 30. But if you have modified it with a tracker then I would recommend not limiting Yaw at all and keeping it open at 180

I love the crap out of this game :) Bought it in the bundle with the other two parts and can hardly wait to see the other scenarios. Just bought a Quest 3 recently and now I feel like after all those boring AAA-Games, the good old times of video games came back via VR. Ever played the old Microprose sims on an Amiga or maybe an early MS-DOS PC? Or the Dynamix games like Red Baron and such? Playing this game makes me feel being back in one of those games... but of course, a LOT more polished and buttery smooth. This game so far has a great balance of arcade and simulation. Just the amount that makes this game so enjoyable. If you like the games I mentioned before you should without any hesitation buy this game. And the other two parts probably, too :)

Honestly I love this more than their WW2 title. The controls are easy to learn and it takes a bit of challenge to actually learn how to aim properly (it is not just one aiming reticle instead each machine gun has its own reticle) I recommend not doing the easy control mode and just try the simulation or Real War mode as those are very immersive and actually make you feel invested instead of holding your hand the entire time. Yes the controls are arcady but unlike their other titles, in here the flight is only a part of the puzzle. The flare gun is probably my favourite tool I mean you hold it in your hand and you physically shoot at what you see (unlike again in their ww2 title where you can only use what your plane has by default) Instead of dropping bombs directly you actually physically have to throw them from the plane. Bombers as a whole are also a really cool addition as they are even viable in air to air thanks to the addition of multiple turrets making them feel sort of like gunships I also think that the open cockpit is something that makes you more immersed in what is going on instead of it just being a tunnel vision nightmare. There is one big con, however: I read one review that said this game made them feel really dizzy-I can confirm that unlike other VR flight sims (mainly thinking of VTOL VR here) this game sort of induces motion sickness and I honestly don't know why. If you are planning to buy some VR title from this Warplanes series I think this should be the one. Unlike in their WW2 game in here you are not just flying, aiming and shooting but also managing the flare gun, your gunners and bombs which always gives you something to do.

This game is AWSOME, could use graphical touch up, but campaign is a nice balance of difficulty. I haven't playd much multiplayer but it looks well made. Home Net's WWII game is good too
