awesome game, wish i recorded my first match (it was cinematic, i was a bumbling idiot & couldn't advance my troops quickly enough, but this stopped the AI enemy breakthrough force's attempt to encircle my allies when they ran into the force lead by a bumbling idiot) then i got hate from 9 random people & contempt from 9 more for stupidly attempting a flanking maneuver with tanks, crossing them into an area where they were in range of enemy artillery (or ships!) & observers (they got blown up, the gamemode was destruction points, and i fed the enemy points, srry teammates i learned my lesson) would've loved to have played a game like this as a kid (only now i'm a grown a-- man have i had the funds to wallet up for it) edit, 6/25/2024: ok, it's time i take accountability for my own failures & admit that in large groups, the lower-tier units are actually really effective & accurate (because the probability of one hitting is higher when there's a ton) so it's balanced, yeah my pissy karen review, 5/27/2024 (during summer break): not gonna change review from positive to negative, that would be a d--- move, and the developers worked hard but some of this game is kinda bull----, like a horde of 40, no, 80 infantry with militia training, firing on like these 2 riflemen on an open field at like 300 meters kept MISSING FOR 6 MINUTES STRAIGHT, FIRING A GORILLION RIFLE BULLETS DURING THE PROCESS (WTF) THEY WERE HAVING STORMTROOPER AIM, NO, WORSE THAN STORM TROOPER AIM THE GAME'S BULLET MODELS CLEARLY SHOWED THEM HITTING THE RIFLEMEN MODELS, BUT IT WAS LIKE "NUH UH, THEY'RE MISSING" HELL, MAYBE IT WASN'T THEIR AIM BEING BAD: MAYBE IT WAS JUST THE GAME GOING "yur not cool speshul forces, so even though you clearly hit those guys, it'll show as miss cuz you're worthless subhuman non-speshul forces bugmen" Then somehow, some SF dudes (10), outnumbered, not hidden, with submachine guns (not rifles), at around the same distance: cut down like 5 waves of 30 riflemen each, cutting them down with every shot, in seconds time. slightly less than that is what normal troops & militia would realistically have, but no: it has to be 9 trillion percent less than that (wtf) i had an elite T80 tank, ok i put it in the dumbest position against multiple "low-tier" abrams tanks, they keep missing it, and it obliterates them & survives then like these 2 abrams are pulling a distract & flank maneuver on it, one is getting to its side, and almost rear, while the other is at its front, both attacking it, but constantly missing, and it obliterates them still (despite using worse & dumber tactics against the AI adversary, i still "won" because my OP units in that skirmish) this was when i tested being the one with OP units in single player, often i was the one sending normal units against expensive ones, watching my normal units acquire, then MISS their targets, only to get blown sky high by 1-hitting it wasn't always sending light units against heavy ones in direct combat: i had a ZTZ hiding in a forest, a leopard was passing along, like only about 100 meters away, it has the leopard's rear now (leopard in disadvantageous position, it has shot on leo engine), i give it the go ahead to fire (weapons ON), and it MISSES, THEN THE LEOPARD BLOWS IT SKY HIGH, behind my screen i was wailing "wahhh, not fair!!!!" inside of me another time, i send some ATGMs to go smash some tanks, didn't know unit stats till later (40% accuracy, LESS THAN 50% CHANCE OF HITTING THEIR TARGET EACH SHOT, WHAT FRIGGIN ODDS ARE THAT) They fire at those Challenger & Leopard tanks, and I'm like "awesome!" It was on the course to hit BUT THEN IT MAGICALLY VEERS OFF COURSE, WHEN IT WAS ALREADY ON THE COURSE TO HIT & MISSES AS IF SOME MAGICAL FACTOR MAKES NORMAL PEOPLE STEER AN ATGM OFF COURSE AT THE LAST MOMENT, BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT ELITE SPESHUL FORCES Then they get smashed this is the exact fu--ing bulls--- i'm talking about, you'll get this guy's post if you play the game: https://x.com/Fixer_Fox3/status/1795901297394135159 So many "low-tier" Cold War tanks & ATGM platforms are less accurate than WW2 tanks in real life, and have a 40%, less than a 50% chance of hitting their target (what) it's ok for them to be 1-hitted by late cold war (80s & 90s) tanks with better ammo, and have to use more shells to kill late cold war tanks with better armor, but miss 60% of shots? wtf what makes late cold war tanks better against early cold war tanks, survive more shots for them & kill them easily is their better armor, ERA (explosive reactive armor), and APS (active protection system), plus better ammo, not their enemy in older, early cold war tanks missing every shot but in WG:RD, it's because low-tier tanks miss so much making some units' aim unrealistically bad & only the best of the best realistic You watched too much TV about "super cool Special Forces" man, how much dramatic "omg speshul forces navy seal deadliest warrior so cool" tv were you watching, to make normal people's aim worse than star wars storm trooper aim, and speshul forces do unrealistic actions (like fight off 90 infantry) because of how bad you've made normal people's aim this makes the destruction gamemode kinda BS because any dude who just does speshul forces utterly obliterates all your forces, and makes it look like you suck when it's just god awful OPness they have at first i thought i sucked, now i realized some of this game is just weird (low tier unit aim is unrealistically bad, making them getting slaughtered in droves: high tier unit is realistically accurate, the only ones who have the aim of normal people in this game are speshul forces & elite units, normal people? pfft, they all shoot worse than storm troopers in star wars) the way speshul forces & competent forces make casualty ratios favor them is by using the terrain & positioning, avoiding actions that kill them (i.e. going to places they're easy to kill, i.e. open field where enemies can hit them, chokepoints their enemy is watching, bridging or blowing a hole in the wall elswhere, etc), and taking actions (going places they can kill their enemies better, using smoke screens, etc): tactics and they have to go through a really physically demanding selection process and stuff they aren't immune to bullets, the same bullet that would kill an ordinary man can kill them, and normal people can also shoot: guns are meant to be easy to use (guns allowed a peasant who trained for hours to kill an aristocratic warrior who trained with swords & bows for years) but in this game, the way they do it is by the devs making all other units consisting of ordinary people have worse than stormtrooper aim, and by making them the only ones with normal aim in this game they (speshul forces) gotta be immune to bullets, and ordinary people can't even shoot right (wtf) whoever designed this game has the same view of a lot of dumb "former roblox special forces" kids who gave themselves OP armor in their game, more damaging weapons, then use stupid tactics & make stupid actions that would've gotten them killed, but still "win" & think they're so good, and the same view as overweight 50 year old men who watched too much special forces tv, and played games depicting normal people as nincompoops who can't shoot straight (did i say that before?) anyway, the game is beautifully modeled, the developers worked hard & deserve utmost respect for their skill in 3D modelling, and making cool voicelines but jfk are special forces better? should they be able to kill ordinary dudes more easily? yeah, but it's not their aim that makes them better: an average joe shoots as well as they do it's the slew/plethora of other stuff (land navigation, physical fitness to hike long distances while carrying heavy loads, outdoor stealth, long range shooting, their tactics, all of which you & i don't have, etc) that makes them better, and no i don't think i'm "speshul forces" (i'm not)

I bought this game looking for aspiritual successor to RUSE and I found a an amazing tactical RTS with buttloads of complexities and a punishingly hard learning curve. This game requires time and effort until it becomes enjoyable, its not a casual experience. Figuring out all the different types of weapons, the quirks and details of different units and why the hell your Anti-Air just exploded takes time and can be frustrating. However when you master it you're rewarded with a fun and engaging RTS experience. There are genuine issues though: -The AI is more A than I and can only rush all of their units into your lines in a straight line, making singleplayer a bit repetetive and shallow. -The Multiplayer is still alive, but its not very populated, so unless you're a PvE enthusiast you might not get your moneys worth.

This game is the most angering painful experience you'll ever have with an RTS. I hated every moment of micro. I hate this game. 10/10 5 Stars I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Best RTS ever made, 4,500 hours in (yeah.. played since beta..), tried warNO but between the trash community/Moderators, lack of variety (theres literally only like 12 divs if you pay enough consisting of 6 nations) and nearly unplayable red bias "balancing" im going back to Red Dragon an hope anyone reading this joins me. Wargame Red Dragon is the better game dont listen to the Ai review inflation.
