Wanted:Dead has that B-movie/cult classic alchemy that turns jank into joy. Tight melee combat with a gunplay kicker. Memorable characters, charming cutscenes and an incredible OST. It won't hit for everyone, but if it does you'll definitely want to see it through.

It's such a odd game. performance is much better now after a few patches, but still kinda janky. It's fun but obviously needed more time to cook. This game definitely won't work for some, and rightfully so. But I have a good time with it, even with it's nonsense at times. I'd give this one a 6.5/10

As someone who actually enjoys the game my biggest issue with it is the grenade indicator could have been better (so far). Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it fun and satisfying? Oh yes. If you enjoyed games like Wet from the PS2 era you'll be fine here.

This game is not perfect, and that is why I recommend it. Too many games (especially action games) are so afraid to do anything wrong that they do nothing interesting. This game is not like that. They chose to do some weird stuff and it is kind of janky, but the game is unique and memorable. This game reminds me a lot of WET on the Xbox 360. A slightly off and kind of out of place action game, but if you play it through, you will definitely remember it for a long time to come. 7/10 would recommend.

This day and age, just about everybody is a critic, too dramatic, and takes life way too seriously. This is the time for heart in games to return in my opinion, with all the depressing news on media. Not every game has to be photo realistic, The Last of Us acting, has the same mechanics as every other super-sized reskinned game out there. Play games because you want to and enjoy a game because it's meant to be just that: a fun and entertaining game. And this is what Wanted Dead is. Did the developers have to throw anime cutscenes in? Have elaborated cutscenes with parts that didn't need to be in it? A huge Police station to explore? Did the characters have to look as good as they do? NO. But the developers loved what they were creating and it shows with the budget they had. The more you master the game, the more the game keeps getting better. I'm on my third playthrough of the highest Japanese Difficulty. I like Detective Stone, her Swiss accent, and all of her comrades. The game doesn't rely on waypoints and distractions like most AAA games but on its core mechanics: combat and gunplay. They'll remind you throughout the campaign, that there's AAA talent behind the works, now and again by showing some great cutscenes, addictive gameplay, and world-building. If you're a true moderate/hardcore gamer who loves stylish action and fun sword and gunplay then you'll most likely love this game. It's that simple. But if you're a gamer who wants to clap at pretty fireworks and prefers the experience over learning/having a difficult challenge and enjoying something refreshingly quirky/different then this may not be for you. And that's okay, play something else. The real faults are that the game sometimes crashes and 2 cutscenes stutter very badly. But making sure that no other graphic card-eating software is opened helped improve the experience. This is far from a bad game, and glad I ignored some of the bad reviews. This is a jewel for me and others who played games from at least the PS1 era onwards.
