My first VR and jet fighter game, and it didn't disappoint. VTOL VR strikes a perfect balance of detailed fighter jet game mechanics while also keeping it simple to control (and compared to games like DCS, don't require external HOTAS hardware). The graphics are basic but still look good, sound design is great, from the vulcan BRRRT, sidewinder whirring and especially those RWR alarm beeps, PTSD is set to come in no-time. Game also comes with an active modding community, ready to give small missions and training scenarios, some fancy paint jobs to full on multiplayer campaigns, if you have a buncha VR-owning friends this game would be especially cool for big coordinated missions. Tutorials are a bit rough... Think I had more issues hitting dumb-fire hydra missiles in the tutorial than I had flying combat missions against radar guided SAM missiles. Luckily there's YouTubers out there making quick and easy to follow tutorials to help out. Lastly, for a VR game, it goes very light on the motion sickness and such (despite what you'd think pulling high-G maneuvers), only issues I get playing this game is from wearing the headset itself. Speaking of which, reviewed for the Meta Quest 3. P.S. every aircraft comes with a music player, 3 default songs are ok I guess... but you can also copy your own mp3 songs into the files, and yes, playing Free Bird DOES enhance my combat effectiveness, thank you very much.

I really like the game. I didn't purchase before because it looked a little low quality but that doesn't even exist. The cockpit of the jets are insane and interactive. I bought this game around 2-3 days ago and I've cranked 7 almost 8 hours already on it. I don't understand some of the things because I'm new but, I am going to play this game a lot. Awesome game, 10/10.

My son and I do multiplayer campaigns a few times a week. Usually in the EF-24 and chopper since they're both two-seaters. He wants a Quest 3 for his birthday because of this game. He's only a few feet away so they can't jam our comms! Quest 2 and a Quest Pro in the same room with a Wifi6 access point and no issues. "Overwhelmingly positive" probably understates my feelings for this game.
