Was very accurate to life other than the depth perception, but this game has actually helped me learn both about the cars I drive and how to drive them. For off-road, the whip physics and other details were incredibly accurate and translate into real life functions that can be used.

After years of having RC cars on and off. I'm finally getting into the hobby. Been playing this for a few months, and even with a 360 controller, I have gotten used to throttle input, steering into corners, jumping and balancing. Very useful. My only issue is the cars are so fucking DATED the tracks are DATED. They need to open this up for mods or AT LEAST make it possible for the community to make tracks. The developers do not understand. If you make this MOD friendly, people will buy it because of that.

It's a bit pricey and the base game is clearly stretched to its limits, but it is very much scratching the itch of letting my son and I play with RC cars that we do not own on tracks that we will likely never get to see. The simulation is accurate enough to even having to learn how to control the car in-flight. Despite its roughly 10 year long development though it is still not without bugs, such as if you change your audio output settings in Windows from headphones to speakers while at the track, the headphones will still hear the sounds of the car and your speakers will play the audio track of people spectating. You have to completely exit the game for it to right itself and play all sounds out the speakers. I also wish the game had better integration with buying the "packs" because those offered on STEAM from the publisher do not actually cover everything for Off road, for example. It's an "essentials" pack, so even though you buy it, you end up with several off road-related packs not purchased, which is pretty lame since that is not made explicitly clear at the time of sale. I'm not terribly disappointed though -- I've only played a few hours with my son and we are having a good time.

This game is great for practicing on those days when you aren't able to head to the track, although you either need to make your own adapter or get another transmitter like a dumbo RC to plug into your laptop, as when you use a keyboard its all or nothing which makes it incredibly hard.
