Voodoo Detective is a game about avoiding talking with tourists. Which, as an introvert, I can relate to very much. But really, Voodoo Detective is an excellent point-and-click adventure game with fun puzzles, excellent art, stellar voice acting, and an interesting setting. It is not a full adventure game, but then again, the price point does reflect that. As for the negatives, not all the puzzles make that much sense. I had to consult the guide for a couple of times, which is less than most adventure games, but still noticeable. Maybe part of the genre. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Voodoo Detective and would recommend it to any fan of the adventure game genre. It is not perfect, but it is almost there. 5/5

Voodoo Detective has so much soul, and I mostly regret not playing it before now. Very much an old-fashioned AG, but not in a bad way (tho the fuse puzzle gets an honorable Broken Sword goat award)

A very satisfying game to play ... great voice acting ... beautiful music .... loved the art work ... and a very rich story from beginning to the end ... was not able to stop playing until I finished it ... for a point and click game its a 9/10 recommend

I thoroughly enjoyed the story, characters, and puzzles in Voodoo Detective. The game is a bit dark, while the voice acting is top-notch. I wish there were side quests to help flesh out the characters and story. Other than a few misdirections, there's only the main story arc. You also can't interact with most objects. The end puzzle needed to be clearer. Without a walkthrough, I would have been lost. The final boss sequence was a homage to Curse of Monkey Island. While not as fun or forgiving, it's easy once you master it. I highly recommend it to fans of point-and-click adventures or detective games.
