Quite frankly, if this was the only game I'd be allowed to play for the rest of my life I'd gladly do so I love the war system I love the economy system I love the population system I love the pop needs system I love the era I love the fanbase The fact this game's mods are still being developed and updated even after Victoria 3 has been released just shows you how good this game is, and I imagine Victoria 2 will remain the relevant victoria game for a long time

This is such a fun game, yet it is very infuriating with the rebels. It’s not over the top difficult, like HOI 4. It is easier than some of the other games. Although, unfortunately, it is lacking in flavor and historical accuracy. You will need mods for those, though they are very great mods. Get HPM, HFM, GFM, or The Grand Combination mods if you want to have these flavors and historical accuracies. Have fun, though I suggest not playing a lot if you have bad anger issues, you will get angry in this game.

Masterpiece. It was made with a razor thin budget, skeleton crew, and little to no development for the past 6 years. Despite all of these factors the game manages to have incredibly complex and entertaining game play and infinite replay-ability, beating it's predecessor in every way imaginable. I would recommend Victoria 2 to anyone who enjoys grand strategy games in any capacity. A relic of the company Paradox Interactive used to be.

If you're like me, just a bit on the spectrum and you don't mind a potato quality UI, definitely the game for you. Do you want to make Uruguay a global industrial powerhouse fueled by Chinese immigrants? Do you want to eat Europe piece by piece as Chonky Germany? Do you like the UK pointlessly intervening in all your wars? Want to unleash the Soviet Union on the world in the 1880's? Then this is the game for you.
