Recommended only for a very specific type of person. If you've played every English Fire Emblem (and maybe a few of the Japanese ones) then this is the logical next game if you want more from the series. If you're more a fan of SRPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics, or not typically a fan of the genre at all, you should probably pass. Even as an FE fan this game is hard to love -- it's ugly, it's complicated, there aren't many quality of life features. It's also got great map design, a satisfying degree of challenge, and an engaging, politically-driven story if you can get past all its flaws.

Brilliant. Challenging. Engaging. I sit down for a quick level or two after work and look up to see the clock only to find it well past midnight pretty regularly. You'd expect a Kaga game to be excellent of course, Fire Emblem is his brain child, but Vestaria far outstrips just about every SRPG I've ever played. Heck, I even loved the characters. Usually I just skip game dialogue since I could get more riveting interpersonal drama by going to my local library, but they're all so fun and life-like. Shout out to my boy Troy, the GOAT.
