Of the three WW1 games made by the developer, this one is the strongest. Challenging, tons of weapon and class variety, kills feel satisfying, the back and forth in each match and the maps themselves make it feel like a good video game rendition of WW1, plus there's no cheesy CoD/BF1 mechanics like you find in the newest game, Isonzo. Isonzo wants to be a faster paced game while still having slow/sluggish movement and gunplay but everything feels balanced here. Due to the games age, you'll likely only find good server capacity at certain times of the day but it still feels satisfying when playing against bots (unlike Isonzo). Because of the small community, you'll likely find yourself playing with the same people which I always enjoyed.

I got back on this game after a year of not playing it and was disappointed to see it completely dead. Which is a shame since this is a really great game. While I do recommend this game, I think you'd probably have better luck just getting Isonzo.

A fun ww1 trench warfare game. Pros: +Almost every weapon 1-shots +Weapons feel fairly balanced +Good gameplay loop (teams take turns attacking/defending their lines/trenches) +Charging alongside many teammates is awesome, exhilarating, and cinematic +Good sfx +Has AI bots (a necessity due to the low remaining playerbase) Cons: -Playerbase is dead (the creators of this game have had 2 more similar games since this game out) -The remaining playerbase is....ridiculously good at this game -Most lobbies are occupied by bots -Respawn times can be a bit long at times, making running across the map just to insta die not very fun Overall, a fun game but beware as most lobbies are occupied by bots (which are competent enough)

The true WW1 Western Front experience. I got PTSD after playing a couple matches. This game needs more players. For a 2015 game this still holds up surprisingly! CoD should take notes lol

Dear Pa, I fear this is the last time I will write to you. The Huns are hitting us everyday. There's rumor of an armistice going around. But. Whether it be true or not, I don't think I'll make it out of this hellhole. By night we're bombarded with shells, and by day its the storm troopers themselves. Even still we're mostly stuck in perpetual boredom. I think I'd rather the shells. Davis, remember? I've mentioned him before, well, Davis didn't make it. Not from shells, not from a bullet, hell that would have been better. I'm sorry I'm so coarse in my language as of late in these letters, you and Ma raised me better but, well. It's all we know out here. Davis let that get to him, you see. He was my bunk mate of sorts you know? Anyway. He's better off now, out of the trench. I just wish I could have seen the signs... Anyway, I'll end this letter, probably my last letter since there's more talk of another offensive happening before the armistice, if that rumor be true too, and I just don't think I have it in me anymore. If I hear that whistle one more time and go up that ladder one more time, I just know I won't come back down it. Tell Ma that I love her, and let John Boy know that his big brother was always thinking of him. There's a skinning knife in a drawer in my desk, make sure you give it to him.
