Really good game. Love the visuals, the music is something else, would listen to it on it's own. Love story, not sure how I feel about the ending, guess it's okay. If you don't have a controller though, it might be way more challenging to play the game. Not only it has a good story and atmosphere, but it's also packed with battles, mostly 1v3. Also it would be even better if it had hp level shown with the bosses, although it has something like it. All in all, great game, would recommend

This was a great first time gamer game. I would recommend for a young player age 10+ who can enjoy the story and is ok with a little scary stuff, plus not too difficult. Never used a controller before and it was nice learning with this. Design is charming and music is great to listen to. Very happy for the developers who got the support to make such a unique looking game!

An utterly enchanting game that immerses you in an unusual atmosphere of Slavic horror. The mechanics here are simple, but the art and soundtrack are absolutely stunning. I perceive it as a real work of art. The music deserves a special mention. I've never considered myself a fan of folk, but these chants in modern processing give me goosebumps. I highly recommend this game to all fans of unusual visuals, set-pieces and deep atmosphere.

A good game to spend an evening with. Stylistically Vasilisa and Baba Yaga is absolutely gorgeous, the visuals and the music fit in very well, the characters and the environments are a breath of fresh air. Russian voice acting uses a peculiar "olden" dialect and is impeccable and fun to listen to. A rare game where you won't want to skip voice lines because they're that damn good. The story is based on Slavic folklore and more specifically on a particular Russian tale, but character archetypes will be familiar even to those who don't know anything about Russian folklore. The story is simple, it's a folk tale after all, but remarkable atmosphere and odd characters keep you engaged. Gameplay is where the game may be lacking a bit. Mini-games are not particularly engaging and some mechanics feel a bit unwieldy. Combat is quite awkward. Be prepared to dash a lot but don't get frustrated too much - you will get to feel all-powerful and vent all your frustrations in the end of the game. Game allows you to use a controller and in fact encourages it, controls feel nice. Didn't encounter any bugs in the couple of hours it took to beat the game except a hint that was showing the wrong button in one of the later stages of the game and having to scroll up in the encyclopedia if you open an article after reading another one to the end. Other than that, game looks quite polished as far as its technical state. All in all, while gameplay-wise the game is clunky at times and combat definitely could use more consideration, artistically Vasilisa and Baba Yaga is a small gem that is absolutely worth the couple of hours you will spend playing it. P. S. Those of you who hated doing house chores when you were little are in for a huge wave of karmic retribution in this game.
