My kids liked playing this game, but the story is awful, sick. At the end a bitter aftertaste remained. Fair to say, we did no play DLC. From a storytelling point of view, I recommend My Brother Rabbit, a similar puzzle game, but which excels in every aspect.

One of the more unique hidden object games I've run across. The meta-textual cut scenes are a little weird (perhaps something lost in translation?), but do lend an additional dimension to the whole affair.
