If you've read "Vampires' Melody" then you would like the continuation of the story here in "Vampires' Melody 2". Would recommend regardless of if it's on sale or not.

Hey it is not best out there but it worth the try. my opinion is that I love it, maybe because i will never have a chance to fall in love with anyone or just because i liked the characters.

Just when you thought AsicxArt stopped making VN's, out of no where they come with Vampires' Melody 2! Let me be honest, I'm very biased here, because I'm still waiting/hoping for Fluffy Store 2. And I'll be honest to say that I think Vampires Melody 2 is not as good as the first one. The story is so-so. You are stranded with Yella on an island, and you need to survive the elements and aggressive goats. While there are some funny moments, it wasn't very interesting. It started to get interesting with the caves and stuff, but it doesn't go very deep. The biggest issue I had is with Yella's behavior. I mean, she was't very nice in the first game, but now she is outright abusive. Every time she doesn't like what Raylan says she kicks him, verbally abuses him and even threatens his life. And there is nothing Raylan can do, because his life was given to him by Yella and can be as easily taken away. A classic example of a toxic and asymmetrical relationship. The ending was kind of good on its own -the story gains pace and I liked the drawings and bits of prose-, but when putting it in the bigger picture, it's very strange. Why does Yella suddenly become so mellow?? I wish she was like that in the whole novel. The pace is also so high that it feels rushed, and things don't make much sense anymore. The only real reasons to buy Vampires' Melody 2 is the artwork, steam achievements, maybe the music. Also, you can switch between English, Japanese, and Chinese, which is nice for reading practice. Just don't expect too much from the story. so, Fluffy Store 2, when??

Plays out a bit slower compared to the first game. Humor is still there though. The story did lose me here and there as I tuned out and tuned in from time to time. Story heavy and has some interactive moments and a few fail endings later in the story. Save often post chapter 4. Really enjoyed art and interactive moments, but the story just lost me too much. Still a good read, especially if you enjoyed teh first.

my acquaintance with asicxart games began with the first part of the vampires` melody. i immediately fell in love with this game and hyperfixated on it lol. but anyway, the story is heartwarming, and despite the low budget, the game turned out to be rather lovely. then I played the second part. minigames are a great way of interactivity that kind of replaces choice-making, because there is simply no choice-making, which is very depressing. speaking of plot, i can say it is rather shallow comparing to the first part, BUT nevertheless, it still made a tear whirl down my face. i guess my hyperfixation + the trait of perceiving certain game characters as the family members had their hand in my adoration of this game ^^ i bought the game full price because i am very eager to support the developers. i hope they will release something soon... please...its not like im begging you but--- oh, and if you are still reading, you should definitely try this and many other games. fox hime and fluffy store are very enjoyable.
