Fun little game. There's a sequence that the music adapts to as you play and I still think about it years later.

Bought it 8 years ago, but only now played it. Visually still looks quite nice. Gameplay is an interesting mix of FPS, parkour, 3D platforming. New mechanics get introduced over the course of the game: some people like it for keeping things fresh; others dislike it for the whole game feeling like a tutorial. Music is good, but sound effects could have used more polish. Story is short. Theme is an interesting twist on mythology and historical backdrop. Storytelling is through audio logs and paper notes. Not exciting, but to be expected from an indie game. If you like scouring for collectibles, this game can take a long time to 100% without a guide, because maps are large. I personally felt there's a bit too much filler landscape (or not enough content filling that landscape). It's not an amazing game, but worth considering. It also gets discounted frequently.

A surprisingly interesting story told through a game whose mechanics are incredibly simple, but somehow perfectly sufficient. Valley does a very good job at giving a sense of speed as you're running down hills, tunnels, and across bodies of water. I feel like they may have even done this better than most racing games. Recommended for a quick 3-4 hour experience on a night where you're burned out on AAA games designed to suck all of the time out of your day and all of the money out of your wallet.
