This is honestly one of my favorite games I've ever played. If ask me to someone were to recommend a game its "Unto the End". I thank all the people who supported, and assisted in the creating of this masterpeice. This got to be the most underrated, and unmentioned games I've played too. The combat, espcially when played on controller is amazing, along with the graphics, artwork, and story even when its not told my dialgoue. All this only for 15.00. Once I saw this games trailer I was instantly hooked. If you mess with combat this is your game, and if you mess with helping other in a dire situation this also suits u. I really love this game man, and I take that too heart.

I was going to write an entire thing about the flaws in this game, but then I realized that the camera just really, really, really sucks. And the audio constantly cuts out, but that's comparatively irrelevant. To all of you complaining about wounds preventing you from blocking: git gud. This game is very forgiving with deaths and provides some alternate approaches if blocking is too difficult. You will die a lot, but you will quickly learn and improve. Edit: I'm so close to changing this review to negative. I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING. The foreground images are constantly blocking my vision. The fact that no one else seems to be complaining about this absolutely baffles me. It is so incredibly bad. Edit 2: Ok, maybe that last edit was a bit toxic, and I think I have to treat the dev like an actual person now that they responded. I absolutely despise poor visibility in games, but can understand how others might enjoy it. This game is unique in a sea of unoriginal games. It kind of has an immersive sim feel to it.

To look at it, you'd never guess that this is a garage-band game. The simple visuals make this throwback side-scroller feel authentic, with the advantage of non-MIDI music. The plot is straight forward and doesn't get distracted by side-quests, puzzles or even dialogue. If you're not into challenges (to your skill or patience, either one), don't pick this one up. That said, if you're that 80s gamer who excels at figuring out the enemy's attack pattern (and you've got the reflexes of a much younger person) try it. Be warned that if, unlike me, you breeze through every encounter, this game is going to feel about 3 seconds long from start to finish. All in all, I enjoyed this. Made me nostalgic for the old DOS game 'Death Sword'.

I got this game on sale, and thank god for that, because this has to be one of the shortest games I've ever played. I'm not saying a lot of time and love didn't go into this, but a $15 price tag for a 2.5 hour game is a bit ridiculous. Personally, I'd say $9.99 would be a fair price, but it is what it is... Honestly, this game will be a hit or miss for people. Combat is pretty difficult and unforgiving (even on the easiest mode/50% speed). The atmosphere, artwork, level design and visuals are top-notch, but some of the foreground, especially in caves, may annoy certain players. While I liked it, because it gave a sense of claustrophobia, others may dislike it. Some of the puzzles are a bit... strange, as well. Like, why do you give one shaman bones and the other herbs? There really wasn't a reason or story behind it. Felt random. Also, controls can be a bit wonky at times. The devs went for a level of realism, too. You drop your torch, your sword, have to pick every item up... while this is neat, it can get a bit annoying. You also move at a VERY slow pace, and some scenes are drug out for dramatic effect. This is OK, but it does feel like "walking simulator" at times. Overall, I like the vision the developers had here, and the game is beautifully done. Sadly, it's way too short to really feel any sense of adventure, there's little to no story, the ending was just "meh" (unless there are multiples), and I can see more people disliking the game than liking it. While I enjoyed it for the most part, maybe watch a game play video a bit before buying. This may be your cup of tea, or a game that makes you want to break your computer monitor with your controller. As for my rating... if I could go neutral, I would. I'm giving it a thumbs up because I enjoyed it, but definitely research the game a bit before you spend your money.

Great game. Combat is fun and the way some encounters play out is very interesting. Lots of interaction to be had and cool choices to make. I did a 100% achievement run and when I messaged the dev for help he was quick to respond and eager to help. 10/10, good times to be had and easily worth the chedda cheese I spent on it.
