I always come back to Unrailed on a random day at 2 or 3 am. It has a very simple game loop: Break stuff, carry materials, build tracks, place tracks, and try to not make a bad choice while doing any of that. This loop makes my brain turn off as I automatically follow the simple instructions, and it can be a bit addictive at times. I love when I play with strangers too, despite there not being much communication. It's just Me and three strangers, chilling at 3 am, building tracks to move forward in a silly train game. I decided to write this because I love the amount of support the game was given. The game had been given tons of support until the sequel was released. Even after the sequel, both games are very distinct gameplay-wise, and there is very good reason to play both. Personally, I appreciate the complexity that is introduced throughout the first game as it increases in difficulty.

its a blast with friends! ive only played 2 player - im sure more people would be more chaos, definitely has that overcooked vibes of managing tasks and running into eachother. my only complaint is i don't understand the saving system. it says "only loadable once" i guess because they want it to still have a rogue-like feel? but they understand that you con't always get a group together for long periods? idk i just wish they'd let you save infinitely

Unrailed!—the game where you and your friends build a train track in real-time, racing against the clock to keep the train from derailing into the abyss. Sounds relaxing, right? WRONG. It’s like a stressful train-themed nightmare, but somehow, it’s also ridiculously fun. If you like trains, this game is for you. If you don’t like trains, well... you’re about to develop a love-hate relationship with them. You and your crew will be frantically chopping trees, mining rocks, and laying tracks, all while the train just keeps chugging along, ready to crash into whatever obstacle you didn’t clear in time. And let me tell you, the panic sets in fast. The game quickly turns into a chaotic mess of shouting things like, "WE NEED MORE TRACKS!" and "WHO SET THE FOREST ON FIRE?!" (pro tip: keep an eye on your train’s water supply, or you’ll find yourself in a fiery disaster). It’s a game where teamwork is essential, but if one of your friends decides to go rogue or get distracted by something shiny, the whole operation falls apart faster than a Jenga tower. Stressful? Absolutely. But also addictive and full of meme-worthy moments like accidentally running over your own track and screaming "TRAIN!!!" at the top of your lungs. Randy Rating: 4.4/5 — Love trains? You’ll love this. Hate stress? Too bad—you’ll be building tracks like your life depends on it.

Fun puzzle/resource management game with a railway twist. Its also quite a relaxing game despite the increasing pressure; it never feels stressful. I have played some multiplayer games and got matched with really nice players who taught me new tips and tricks. Its amazing how much can be communicated with emojis! Such a charming and well polished game. Can't wait for sequel. I hope there is a continuous endless mode where the camera follows you instead of the train and you could try building miles ahead of the train while it slowly builds up speed and closes the gap.
