Might have the most horrifying amount of hours on this game of anyone in the reviews. You can finish this game in less then 10. Its an adorable decorating game with small puzzle element that help tell a story in the back round of game, there are a good amount of small hidden things I've found while playing and if you just want a calm cozy time this is for you. If any of the developers see this, I found this game at a really hard point in my life and it became something I played (over and over again) to feel better. It really helped me through some tough days. I would pay a lot of money for a sequel.
I got this game as a part of a multi-cozy game pack. I liked the idea of unpacking someone's stuff and organizing their life. Low stakes, no pressure. What caught me off guard was the subtle story telling in this game. It really hit me in the feels a few times. Watching someone's life evolve from childhood to adulthood just through their items and their surroundings. Seeing what they keep bringing forward each move, what there is space for (or NOT space for) and then seeing what goes away, it's surprisingly touching and very telling. I had serious thoughts and feels about that first move in with a partner. For those who have been in a relationship like that, IYKYK. Good riddance. The items evolve with them - that purple and white heart mug that keeps going everywhere with them develops a chip - it speaks to a cherished item. It makes me think about what I've carried forward each time I've moved, and I can't help wondering why these things keep moving with them. What attachment do they have to them and what is the story? My mind can only make up potential reasons, some bittersweet and some joyful. New items appear and I wonder, "What happened?" Some make sense, like the wrist guard, others like the cane make me wonder why this is present in their life at this time. The reasons that come to mind for why it appears range from tragic to unfortunate. I haven't finished the game yet, but today I did find myself saying "Good for you, girl" when something appeared in their unpacking boxes. I never thought a game about unpacking stuff would make me feel that way. Who knew.
