Undead Horde is an exhilarating experience that masterfully blends elements of action, RPG, and strategy. It places you in the rotting shoes of a necromancer with the ability to raise and command an army of the undead. The game’s mechanics are seamless, allowing for fluid gameplay and strategic depth. The variety of units you can command, from skeletal warriors to zombified beasts, adds layers of tactics and customization, ensuring that no two battles feel the same. What stands out most about Undead Horde is its delightful mix of humor and dark fantasy. The writing is witty, and the dialogue from both allies and enemies keeps you entertained throughout your quest for domination. The game's aesthetic is equally impressive, with beautifully crafted environments and character designs that capture the eerie charm of its undead theme. The progression system is satisfying, rewarding you with new powers and units as you conquer towns and villages. Whether you're smashing through enemy lines with brute force or cunningly outmaneuvering them with tactical genius, every victory feels earned. Overall, Undead Horde is a captivating game that offers endless hours of fun and strategic mayhem. It's a must-play for fans of action-RPGs and anyone who enjoys a well-crafted adventure with a wickedly fun twist.

A fun, short game about conquering the world as an undead warlord, reminiscent of the old Necronator flash game.

Fun and comedic necromancer game. You literally start the game with zombie chickens and just go through tougher enemies as you go and you can raise them all to fight for you and that even includes the bosses. I don't like games that do nothing but make references to old games and movies and nothing else as it feels like your just being distracted with a slightly different task while someone just does impressions in your face and this game has ALOT of references. Some are funny but most I would say just miss. Multiple ways to attack each obstacle when it comes to units, spells, and weapons but it doesn't make the combat ever not fun. If something doesn't work you simply try something else and it usually works straight away and it could be something as simple as going with a different kind of melee weapon for your necromancer, changing up your spells a bit, or even picking different units for different situations as might isn't always right. Story isn't great and it wasn't meant to be but it is present just don't lean on it too hard or it will break. Game is great for some play if your looking to just have fun for a bit.

Pretty decent game with a fun mechanic of raising your victims from the dead to join your horde. No doubt it was fun and worth the time and cost of the game, but it has some issues that bother me personally. For others, this might be fine the way it is. While I do appreciate not having to start things over when failing, the ability to make progress in any area by at least destroying one building has its drawbacks. It diminishes much of the skills and perks of that progress because you can easily get by with mere attrition. There is a pretty big shop system that you can upgrade quite a bit, but I found that there is no reason to do so. You will always find better gear in the world. Overall, there is the potential to have a more robust game where you have to actually be careful with what you choose to upgrade and what items you sell and where you must use strategy to progress through the world. I love that the game allows you start over in a new era and things keep getting more difficult. The lack of what I mentioned was fine for the first era. The fun of the main mechanic kept things interesting. However, because this just doesn't fit my taste of gameplay, I do not have the desire to play through it again.

It's like playing as a Diablo Necromancer, but much more simplistic. You rely heavily on your summons. No creativity or calculating required There isn't really any creative character builds. The optimal builds are obvious and linear. I played through the whole game without any sort of specialized build. You can't get very strong. The majority of abilities that can be used by equipping items are severely lacking in power and depth. The feeling of "Wow.. I'm really strong now" rarely ever occurs in this game. You will be continuously changing gear. Only once did I find an item I carried through multiple levels. The level design is simplistic. There are some really odd floor switch puzzles. I don't find these fun at all, I didn't like them. There are a few areas that are very hard and will take you multiple attempts to clear. The worst of them all is a monster called Mega Scorpion . Oddly these areas tend to be closer to the start of the game, rather than near the end. So if you get stuck just keep going. It gets easier. The ending is really bad and kinda comedic in how uneventful it is. I didn't even realize I beat the game when I did. The final fight is very easy and pathetic. It'll probably take most people around 10 hours to complete the game. After you beat the game, you are given the option to play in NG+. The story is bland. The concept and idea of the game overall is good. I wouldn't call this a beautiful game. The art style is simple as it gets. The characters pop and that's important when you have a lot of guys on screen. It's a practical style. Some of the characters are very cartoonish and cute. Overall, it's an awesome game and now I'm gonna go ahead and play the 2nd one.
