Its awesome! Learn how to fix ships via manual akin to the one in Keep talking and nobody explodes. Fail anyway because panic and being unprepared hits you in the face. Game also does great job at catching you off guard and mixing things up. WHATS EVEN BETTER devs are not set on "YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS WAY" and added chill mode, which removes time restraints, but makes repairs more difficult and punishing. BUY IT!

The game is lovely. But PLEASE add a training/practice mode for the later modules. Getting to reactors only to die part way through your first one, sending you back to 4 days of tutorial tier fixes has me eyeballing that "No" button. Or at least add some sort of upgrade that lets you toggle which modules can show up starting day 1.

RTFM - the game The game is enjoyable in its own right but more interestingly, it is a social experiment. Watch streamers and YT content creators play this for the first time and notice how too many don't read the manual and just start messing around blindly with devices they know nothing about. I'm not even talking about more complex modules like AI or Reactor maintenance. Even the simplest tasks become unsolvable problems (like "How do I open a service pannel, dur!"). The greatest module is the Remedy Lever. The manual comes with a simple, color coded 3 page instruction for it. "If the light is green: Do NOT pull the lever!" "If the light is red: PULL the lever!" If you mess it up, you gotta rewire the whole thing. "This could have been avoided by just reading 10 words two pages prior." is a nice touch in that section of the manual. I wish there was a way to tell how many people genuinely mess this one up by accident. Like I said, watch people play it for the first time and despair, realizing that this is the exact same behaviour you'll witness irl with supposed professionals (of any field of expertise).

This game is a labor of love, and it shows in every corner. This game’s achievement is the journey it creates for you. You start as a clueless oil change jockey, flipping through a manual mid-panic, desperately trying not to blow yourself up. Soon you're creating undocumented solutions and pre-prepping parts for maximum efficiency. The blue-collar, cthulhu-punk vibe will have you laughing while you work. Little secrets are tucked away, and the story has a surprising amount of heart. Even when you’re buried in the chaos of your next job, it feels human. Fair warning: failure is part of the deal. But with perk progression, hidden secrets, and your growing skills, you’ll bulldoze through what once felt like a blood-splattered brick wall. The "Focused" mode is your best friend when you’re overwhelmed, training-wheels for the chaos. (One quick note for the developers: adding some difficulty scaling within the modes would be a big win. The platforming, in particular, feels like a whole different skillset, so an alternative setting here would help, alongside the other accessibility options.) This is a masterpiece in its own right. It’s one of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve had. If you’re ready to embrace failure and grow into the role, you’ll quickly find yourself craving more.

Best way I can think of to describe this game is a single player roguelite version of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. You play a spaceship repairman, and your job is to fix and replace various ship parts. Each module is a different type of puzzle game, and your objective is to solve the puzzles properly with the help of your Grimoire employee manual. The game has two modes, a more relaxed mode where you service 3 ships per day, and a more chaotic time-based mode where you have to manage the customer's patience and the allotted shift length. You can hypothetically service more than three ships a day in the latter mode, but I strongly recommend playing on the easier, more relaxed mode to begin with, at least until you have a good memory of how each module works without having to reference the manual every time. The time based mode is very difficult in comparison, and I still struggle a little with the relaxed mode. There are some issues and annoyances, for instance the meteor shower is quite frustrating, as you constantly have to use your fire-hose to extinguish the flames caused by the shower. The VR section of the manual also seems unfinished (?), as I couldn't find any clear instructions as to how to remap the VR controls (which is required for some puzzles). I would also recommend playing with mouse and keyboard, as the controller bindings are functional but a bit awkward for me. Aside from that, this game is quite charming, funny and fun to play. I'm a big fan of business management games as well as roguelites, so this is a fun mix of the two genres.
