It's a decent story that could have been longer because that ending felt very rushed. Also, I didn't have that much time to really care about a lot of the characters which sucks because I feel like there are a lot of potential in that department. Other than that, I did enjoy my time with the game but then again, there's a lot of lost potential.

Experienced on the Meta Quest 3. Yes, you can play this game in VR using the completely FREE Unreal Engine VR mod by Praydog. You do have to use synchronized sequential though to get it to look its best. Performance was actually pretty good on my RTX 3080. I used an Xbox one controller, although I imagine you could use motion controllers as a gamepad as well. There were some minor issues though. The biggest one is that sometimes the camera pans to areas that block your view. That happens more than you'd think, but only during the cinematics. The other big issue is that the searched items are kind of small in VR and can be difficult to spot. You're really pixel hunting in VR although since I haven't played this game in pancake, I can't say that this problem is only in VR. Other than that, I would say this game is an underrated gem. I can't figure why it doesn't have a positive review overall score on Steam. It may be a bit pricey considering it can be beat in less than 7 hours. However, you can probably find on a deep discount nowadays on Steam. So as long as you buy it on sale, there really isn't any reason to complain about content versus price. It's a good detective story. The story doesn't meander. It is well focused. I would say the characters are pretty realistic overall. It's a slice of small town life mixed with a murder mystery / thriller. I think it's underrated. VR Rating 7/10. Looks great in VR, just some issues keep it from a higher rating.

✅ Strengths: - Unique approach: You are MC with multiple personalities using deduction with mind palace and reconstruction of scenes (almost like Sherlock Holmes). - Similar plot to "Life is Strange True colors" but with more of detective vibe (which ironically is the only LiS that wasnt made by Don't Nod) ⚡Areas for improvement: -Abrupt ending: you find out about the criminal mastermind 5 minutes before ending the game. It would not hurt to create another two chapters in the game as you can complete it in 10 hours. -Occasional issues with controls (could be better with controller instead of keyboard) ⛔Weaknesses: -Occasional Country music -Annoying teenager Overall: After creating two masterpieces like Life is Strange 1 and 2, I have mixed feelings about this game: 5/10. Worthy to buy only on sale.

This game is currently in the Humble Choice for January 2024, and this is part of my coverage of the bundle. If you are interested in the game and it's before February 6th, 2024, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle. Another unique story from DONTNOD. DONTNOD is a company best known for Life Is Strange and Life is Strange 2, but also Remember Me, Vampyr, and Tell Me Why. Twin Mirror fits in with Life is Strange, and Tell Me Why introduces players to Sam, an investigative journalist who returns to town due to his best friend dying though there is a clear estrangement. But Twin Mirrors is like most DONTNOD Games where it sets up a compelling story and interesting characters early on, as well as hinting at larger and deeper truths. In the first hour, all I can think about is how I want to know more and unravel some of the larger stories here, and also I will say around an hour in there’s a huge moment, which opens up a ton of new questions. On the other hand, this is a narrative adventure… AKA “Choices matters game” as Telltale makes, and I’ve seen enough of these to tell you, that your choices won’t truly matter, it might change the path but there’s almost always going to be one or two possible endings in the final chapter, which isn’t a bad thing, considering when choices do matter and are spread out over the entire game, that means a 6-hour replay to see a slightly different scene. Also, some of the targeting on this game was a little frustrating, hopefully, those were only issues early on. Finally, the mind palace idea sounds great, but then there was a rather weak running down a corridor challenge that was quite bad. Pick this up if you like DONTNOD’s previous work. As I said, their character development and how they build mysteries is a big selling point here, and I’m curious how it pays off, but I also get why some people aren’t huge fans of this genre, and that’s ok too. Loved it! Not only was there a good story line to the store, but also loved the interactive parts of the game as well. I've played a lot of story based games and I loved how this one was different with the mindplace, memories, and clues throughout the game. Will definitely be playing again for different endings. Hoping they will end up making more like this one.
