Charming and real feeling government sim. Already almost 10 hours in and I can tell that I'm going to sink many many more. It's polished and solid, I've yet to encounter any glitches and am still learning things about the seemingly basic system. The soundtrack deserves its own praise, making you feel like the important dictator that you're pretending to be while you're definitely not partying all the time. Thank you El Presidente!

This is by far one of the best city builder style games I have ever played. I played Tropico years aho and had played other versions in the past. I continually enjoy returning to this game. At this point it feels like an old trusted friend. I don't enjoy missions on sim buliders typically but this game flips that around for me. I absolutely love the missions and even if I'm on attempt 20 or 30 I feel like continuing to try new things to beat it. I'm not the best Tropico player by noted on the 20-30 times to beat a mission but damn it I'm having fun! I think Tropico has the perfect balance of city building and political management without either of those two pieces feeling mico managey. Fantatstic job to the developers and everyone who has worked on the Tropico team. This game has gotten me through many hours when I've been laid up due to chronic health conditions. Can't wait to see what Tropico continues to have in store for its fans.

Game is great but I don't understand why the bus transportation system is so restricted to only initial and end stops? What kind of lousy bus system that is. There should be able to place down multiple bus stations like real life.

I highly recommend the base game, but do not recommend any of the paid add-ons/DLC. They feel like they were put together by the developers' B team, with poor gameplay balance and awful dialogue/script editing. The New Frontiers add-on is a great example of this - the Reclaimer building can be easily abused by putting it in range of waste treatment facilities, half of the Broker's offerings become spaceship parts (even in the World Wars era, which effectively cuts his offerings and usefulness in half), and the text feels like it was written by someone deliberately trying to sound cool and edgy but just comes off as cringeworthy. Tl;dr: Buy the base game if it's heavily on sale (Tropico 7 should be just around the corner), but skip the DLC.
