It did not take very long at all to beat this game, so I trust the two (2) Person Developer Team will add more content. What makes this game worth the $10 full price is that they have a Level Editor that allows others to create new maps and levels and they share it with the other game owners. I have not seen an Early Access game with this much polish so early. Developers, please keep adding more content to this game...it's a definite winner.

Toy Shire is a tower defense game mixed with the beauty of Toy Story in early access. Toy Story? Just from looking at the screenshots, you'll immediately notice the similarities to Toy Story. The graphics and the music are fantastic and go hand in hand with the little boy and his story. It's cute, well voiced and the story just fits perfectly into that. Tower Defense The game consists of three levels each with four stages right now. It's in early access so there is more to come. You can build towers on pre-defined spots on the map, whereas each map is different and sometimes has surprises for you. Enemies will storm your base one wave after another and your towers will shoot on them. You can upgrade your towers and call for soldiers. Soldiers start in your base, can be dragged to different spots or you can even let them attack the enemy base. To win a battle, you need to either survive all the waves OR storm the enemy base with three of your units. Strategy This little twist adds to the strategic depth of the game since there is just one resource (stars) that you need to build towers, upgrade them, or build soldiers. You can decide to mainly go for soldiers, mainly defend with towers, or mix it both up. But aside from that, each level is different, containing different types of enemies or specialties on the map and you can just take a certain number of soldiers and towers with you. Since there are several different towers and soldiers, each with its pros and cons, you certainly think about a tactic before going into a battle. All of that adds to the replayability. Content There are 12 levels and a creative mode where you can build your own levels. The creative mode seems to be in an early stage but you can already share your levels and download others in the workshop. Playing through the 12 levels will take a few hours (ca. 4-5 hours). Since the game is in early access, more content will surely arrive sooner or later. The devs already said, that there will be much more to come, including updating the level editor, more levels, and a multiplayer mode. To shorten the time till content updates drop, you can beat the levels using a different tactic. This is where replayability comes into play. Some people like to do this, some don't tho since you won't get anything for beating a level twice. Conclusion Toy Shire is an excellent, very promising, and beautifully looking tower defense game in early access. The similarities to Toy Story are also reflected in the high quality of this game. It's a lot of fun to beat the levels using different tactics and listening to this small kid playing with his toys. I can definitely recommend this game to anyone liking tower defense games. Get it! I came across your game on Reddit and was excited to see that two 20-year-old developers created such a polished product. For an early access game, it's impressive. The learning curve is good and easy to understand. I didn’t have much difficulty strategizing and could adapt quickly. I’m looking forward to seeing more depth and new updates in the game. Congratz to the developers!

Great desing! Kudos to the dev, it really does bring back me to the times I watched Toy Story. My only suggestion would be a change in the troop deployment system. I generally watched the entrance of the enemies but whenever you spawn a troop, it just waits at base. Maybe if we could both select and mark a location where we wanted the troops to go would be a quality of life improvement. But other than that, the rooms, the dialogs, the overall design is great! Would recommend to anyone who likes base defending games
