This game is unforgiving. This game is catastrophically, fundamentally difficult. This game is life-ruining, and yet one cannot halt the desire to climb. One must and will climb. Perseverance is key, for the further one progresses, the more bounties the game presents. It can get unhealthily (destructively even) addicting, so please be mindful of your mental and physical health. You are likely to feel an entire array of emotions throughout your journey, sometimes within a short time span. It can be despair, mania, panic, euphoria, relief, tension, fear, doom, dizziness, greed, contentment, rage, bloodlust, bloodlust, bloodlust, bloodlust, bloodlust.

To be submissive is to be still! Oh High and Mighty Tower! Our true devotion never moves. The Tower is Tall! The Tower is Tall! Those who move are heretics. The hand of God will slay. In the green all will be seen. Move not. Pray night and day.

This game is amazing. Soundtrack, design, everything. It has an EXTREMELY steep learning curve- Even when you understand the mechanics, you will still struggle to execute them properly. Sometimes the floor generation will screw you over no matter how good you are. There are TONS of hidden secrets and stages, I would recommend an in-depth study of the wiki, and regularly refer to it for a list of crafting recipes. Trying to beat the tower without crafting is extremely difficult. You will 100% be given the opportunity to craft EVERY run, whether or not you have the materials will be up to luck and risk. You should also check out Tobash's runs on his twitch/youtube, he does a great job teaching game mechanics & techniques that you should learn while also explaining their risks- if you're okay with spoilers. Keep in mind, if you are planning on playing this game completely blind, it will likely take hundreds of hours to discover and learn enough to clear the tower. I also recommend downloading the cheat engine table for this game to practice by setting revives to infinite, or spawning in certain items to practice with that would otherwise take a lot of time & luck to obtain, or teleporting to & practicing the higher floors- There are still many obstacles in the tower that will end your run even while using the cheat table. On the Fearless Revolution website, the correct URL ends in t=2138 This is the reliable source for the cheat table. I've only beat the tower once without cheats at around 60 hours, with some extremely good luck, skipping some completion objectives, and that's not even the hidden ending. On easy. I haven't mastered most techniques, and there are some that are so difficult I haven't even properly learned how to use them yet. Oh, and by the way, I learned from this game that boomerangs and explosions can really give you the competitive edge you might need in a basketball game.

I don't normally write reviews for games, but I feel like this is a deserved exception. TowerClimb is a masterfully crafted game that deserves far more recognition than it has received, and it is without a doubt, one of the best platformers I have ever played. It is one of the most difficult games I have ever played, but it is also the single most rewarding game I have ever played, and I haven't even beaten it yet. Seriously, just give this game a shot if you like difficult, methodical platformers.
