Very buggy, but a charming and fun game. Most bugs will go away if you close the game and open it again. I think it's still worth playing! That being said, I have A LOT of ideas for things that could really really make this game even more engaging! Some improvements/features I would love to see would be: - Ability to rearrange things once placed. Seriously, why is this not already in game? I'd love if I could fully rearrange the shelter or at least move the medical/supplies rooms around as the shelter gets bigger and bigger (or at LEAST let me add an additional medical room so I don't have to travel what feels like miles just to bring a dog from the complete other side of the building) - Making the foster network/dog log, leashed in/staff management, and barkbook/events their own tabs on the computer. There's room for more tabs down at the bottom, so I don't see why they can't have their own tabs. - The ability to encourage good traits to develop by playing with the dogs or something like that - Some kind of training minigame - More floor/wallpaper options (I would adore a little bone-themed wallpaper fr) - Allow metal upgrades to the run kennels - Ability to choose the playtime minigame maybe? There could be a tugging toy or in the play pens and maybe if you just click on the dog without anything while loose, it would start the petting game. I think this would pair well with giving each dog/breed their own favorite game (favorite would give the most happiness while others would give 2/3 or half, I imagine) - More player speed upgrades (that could just be a me thing though, since I like to play at the fast tick speed lol) - Treats to give dogs to increase happiness (or start the aforementioned training minigame) - there could even be a consequence of making a dog sick if you give them more than 1 in a day or something like that - 7 hours in, I'm rolling in cash and would love to have some money sinks! Decor for outside kennels, toy upgrades, cute beds or fancier bowls, cute uniforms for employees, front desk/entry furniture upgrades. This could come from another sales NPC or shop even that you can unlock on leashedin - I'd love to be able to buy advertisements rather than just waiting for a pop-up asking if I'd like to promote fosters/adoptions - Ability to send an employee or the player character to a timed rabbit hole up to once a day/3 days/week to perform a rescue event to bring back 1 or more injured/sick dogs. Being a rescue could be its own trait as well. Sometimes the shelter is lacking and I'd love to have more control to intentionally find dogs if I'm low (although I've been lacking less since I expanded to 60+ slots and now have around 30ish at a time) - Search bar in the dog log for traits (or anything, but especially traits. It's not that bad, but it'd be great not to have to scroll through 3-4 pages of dogs to find which ones are intelligent, lol It's a lot of suggestions, but I also don't think any of these are NEEDS (except maybe rearranging things...), just more things that I really think would make this good game a great one.

It's a shame how buggy this game is. Not worth it for its current full price of $20. I would recommend you buy it when its heavily on sale solely because of how bad the bugs can be. I bought it for around $10 and don't regret it though. The game itself is great--super fun and addicting with a very cute art style. I've dumped about 6-7 hours into one save and have had a lot of fun with it. Most bugs you encounter are little and fixable. If a dog is refusing to drink, you can move it to a different kennel and it might fix itself. After playing for awhile, however, you may encounter a bug that can completely break your save and force you to restart. Like when every dog is broken, refuses to eat or drink, and you cannot fix it by moving them around. This is frustrating because getting back to where you were before is not quick--especially with the cap on how many upgrade points you can earn per day. It seems that progress is being made about bugs though. The devs are clearly aware and trying to fix things; several patches have come out. Hopefully will be less broken in the near future. As for the actual game, it's good. It's easy to get stuck playing this for several hours straight. There's a lot of interesting mechanics, like how a dog's traits may affect how you house them or their chances of getting adopted. Taking care of the dogs can be a challenge at first, but becomes easier once you learn the groove of the game or hire helpers. There's a ton of different dogs to see as well, as well as several ways of interacting with them. I'd love to see more improvements such as more customizations and room types, or the ability to fix certain traits that are currently permanent (ex. mange or separation anxiety). My only complaints are the cap on upgrade points and how room/hall dimensions can be weird and difficult to format nicely sometimes.

The game IS buggy but I don't find it unplayable.. here are some bugs that I've noticed - if you accidentally walk into the storage room a little too fast you can get stuck in between the food table and the wall, and the unstuck button wont teleport you out so you have to go to the menu and start the day over again - sometimes when you build too much at once doors you placed will be unusable until you completely close out and reopen the game and sometimes items in the storage room will disappear (you can still click on their outlines to grab them, the icons just wont show up until you exit to main menu and reopen the save) - characters with story line aspects will appear more than once and redo the same lines as if they never showed up before, so the story line doesn't really go anywhere (other than the main story when you play the story save rather than free-play, that works fine, it's just the individual characters like the young man, red head, and reporter lady) - I can't seem to figure out how to enable foster homes? It's mentioned in the story and on the advancement board thing, but it doesn't happen automatically and I can't find anywhere to start it up or anything? And these aren't bugs, just some things I would like to see added/improved - you can add to the beginning shell of your shelter, but you cant change the original placement of the necessities like the storage room or first kennel room, I'd like some more customization with those - the dogs that arrive come with names, which i do like, but I wish you could change them! - It would be cool if you could return back to your home (shown in the beginning story) at the end of each day at the shelter so you can customize that as well, but more importantly so you can buy dog beds and stuff in order to adopt some dogs yourself!! (i feel bad sometimes for dogs that nobody will adopt.. I just want them.....) - ability to actually customize your character rather than picking from the.. i think 5.. pre-made ones Overall I really love this game!! I know it's a little buggy, but for simple issues, just going to the menu and returning to the save works just fine at fixing it. I wish there was a little bit more to it, and that it was updated more frequently, but I still play it all the time and don't regret my purchase at all :-)

I wish you could leave mixed reviews. When it comes to game itself - it is exactly what's advertised. You run your dog shelter. It has a little story and some mechanics to open up as you progress (foster network, more customization, events), but the gameplay loop is pretty straightforward - take care of dogs, get them adopted, repeat. At hour 2-3 you probably have more or less seen everything. Which is not a bad thing, I like to just play this game on my sofa with controller when I don't want to play anything big. The bad (and why I want mixed review): The bugs. The game can be pretty buggy if you are unlucky. My game got completely stuck at few points during story, once I couldn't even restart it, it was permastuck. I had do start new save. It didn't happen more to that extend, but there have been bugs that made items disappear or get you stuck in the doorway which is pretty frustrating.

This game has a lot of potential and I really love the idea, the art style and everything else, but the game is so buggy and breaks so often. Many times I will go through the whole day and then right at the end of the day something game-breaking happens and I have to reset. There is an "unstuck" button, and it works, but only when you aren't actually stuck!!! There are features in the game such as the (potential spoilers) foster system, grants, and employees that just do not work properly and I have to just ignore and try to play around. I would also love a multiplayer option, but honestly the devs can't even begin to think about that before they fix the bugs and make this game playable!! I really love this game, but the developers really need to fix the bugs in this game to make it playable. I even would have paid more money for a game that works properly. I think maybe this game was released far too early, and I feel like more of a bug tester than anything. It's crazy to see that the game was released in November 2021 and over 2 years later is still in such an unplayable state. Very disappointing, but once everything is fixed this does have the potential to be a great game.
