A Chaotic Fantasy Adventure – Now Standalone! Personal Opinion – 10/10 Well, it’s obviously a 10/10 since it’s still Borderlands 2. I’m not going to change my rating just because it’s a standalone version. That said… If you’ve played Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep in Borderlands 2, you already know what this is.. An insane, hilarious, D&D-inspired adventure, narrated by the one and only Tiny Tina. Except now, it’s a standalone experience, meaning you don’t need Borderlands 2 to dive in. And honestly? It still holds up incredibly well. I aknowledge that, if you have Borderlands 2, you don't need to buy this separately, since well, you basically already own it. But for me, it still works on a stand-alone version, and I personally don't mind the idea. The humor, the storytelling, and the absurdity are peak Borderlands. Tina’s unpredictable narration constantly shifts the world around you, making for one of the most unique and dynamic campaigns in the franchise. One moment you’re fighting skeletons, the next, the entire story rewrites itself mid-quest. It’s unpredictable, chaotic, and hilarious, exactly what you’d expect from a Borderlands D&D session. One great addition in this version is the extra customization. The developers added some exclusive cosmetics just for this standalone version, which is always a nice touch. While the core gameplay remains unchanged, the standalone version also tweaks and adapts some side quests, like The Bane quest, to make them fit here. The campaign itself isn’t overly long, but that’s actually a plus. It lands right in that sweet spot where it’s long enough to feel satisfying but doesn’t overstay its welcome. And with plenty of side quests, loot hunting, and ridiculous encounters, there’s more than enough to keep you entertained. At its core, it’s still the Borderlands formula we love, tons of loot, fast paced FPS combat, and hilarious writing. Whether you’re a returning player reliving the best DLC from Borderlands 2, or a newcomer experiencing this wild fantasy adventure for the first time, this standalone release delivers exactly what it promises: an unforgettable, loot-filled, chaotic D&D-inspired ride. If you loved Assault on Dragon Keep, the decision is easy to take, either to play or not.. If you’ve never played it? Now’s the perfect chance to experience one of Borderlands’ most creative adventures! Little side note: I obviously aknowledge the lack of modding for the stand-alone DLC of Borderlands 2, and I also aknowledge the fact, that people "dislikes" it just because the developers chose to sell it, while it's already part of Borderlands 2. I honestly think that this is not meant to "harm anyone", and it just delivers a good time with your friends, that doesn't want to go over all of Borderlands 2 story, just to play the DLC. Oh also, no UHVM!!

If you're a die hard fan of the borderlands series, you have to buy this! Yes it is a repackage of a borderlands 2 dlc, but they did a really nice job on it! There's two playthroughs, normal and TVHM, and the scaling is done very well; for every level up you gain 2 skill points, allowing you to have really cool builds even at level 20 or 30! There's two imported quests from BL2, but they're reskinned in a very cool way, they're not just exactly the same as BL2. ALSO. They added a new shield type!! They're called kite shields and they're a type of spike shield that instead of dealing damage like a normal spike shield, they push the enemy back with a gust of wind that deals damage; really cool mechanic and fun to use!! The legendary kite shield, called the Stray Kite, is unfortunately sanity checked, i.e. the game doesn't believe it to be a real item to it can't naturally spawn. However, using a S A V E E D I T O R, I tested it out, and it's really cool. I know this was a repacked promo for Wonderlands, but I hope that it gets some support (please fix the sanity checking of the Stray Kite), or even just shift codes periodically for some skeleton keys for the rainbow chest in Flamerock Refuge. TL;DR, if you're a die hard borderlands fan, get this. If you just like the series just ~okay~, I'd stick to the DLC.

Same as Borderlands 2 but just the dlc good old humour and gameplay. Chubby achievement ( cute loot) sucks took me 11h just to get it.Got him at the stairs where you start grinding in Unassuming Docks Easy mode off, normal difficulty . Total time 36 hours for perfect game good luck .

i believe the common comment "this is just a DLC from BL2, nothing new" is more than a little bit unfair. The graphics is vastly upgraded, there are more missions and mission types, there is a map to walk around instead of just jumping from point to point. The mechanisms of the game are very different and there is a learning curve that is not that smooth, so, no, there are differences and if you wanted to run this game on the engine of BL2 it would fail, crash and burn. I would say just the opposite, this barely fits inside BL, it could (will?) be an independent spinoff. If you like the BL universe, you will like it, but bear in mind it is a completely different thing in terms of gameplay.

This was a BL2 DLC, so if you already have it no need to buy again. Gameplay is great fun. The guns are really great. Story is fun. Quite a lot of content for a DLC. 6/10
