Can't believe I haven't reviewed Tiny Terry earlier. This game is so small and contained, but scratches a very specific itch. 1. It's a mini open-world game where you can finish the main quest fairly quickly, but the fun part lies in the side quests and challenges. The main premise is so dumb and cartoony, and I love it. 2. You interact with goofy townfolk, that often have quirky demands, and upon completion, you are rewarded with some of the most out-of-left-field resolutions you can't help but laugh at. 3. The controls are so smooth and the platforming is // chef's kiss 4. The comedy is physical, verbal, and meta at times (when an achievement pops up, it often provides a punchline). 5. You can wear costumes, jump, hit, drive towards or off of, explore, do just about anything you want in this town. It's like a tiny sandbox full of funny, engaging characters and storyline, with tight controls and superb sound design. Probably the most fun I've had with a video game in a long while. Just pure, simple, fun.

its is a very silly, low stakes game that I crave. It reminds me a lot of a Short Hike or Button City. You just go around doing whatever you feel like, no crazy challenges, just little mini games, things to explore and junk to be found. The dialog is also very funny. To me this is what a cozy game is. No tasks or clock counting down (looking at you stardew) just do whatever you feel like when you feel like it. Life is hard. I've played EVERY From Software souls-like. I am tired and I just want to have fun and release dopamine in a stress-free environment.

This love letter to Simpsons Hit & Run is delightful, charming, silly, and a damn good way to spend a handful of hours. The highlight is Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip's densely populated city full of comedic scenarios that subvert and play into the best tropes of gameplay concepts from generations past. When we look back on this era of indie games inspired by A Short Hike, I hope this one becomes a staple in that conversation.

Another great example of the burgeoning "relaxing adventure game" genre. If you like games such as A Short Hike, Lil Gator Game, or even Sable then you'll like this too. Unlike those other games, however, this game is made by the creator of Wuppo, which is a very very good thing. The trademark charm, humor, and bizarre world are present in this game just like Wuppo. The first thing that happens is you applying for a taxi job just for the car, then proceeding to never actually do your job. Afterward you're free to wander around this small but dense city and collect junk by doing various things so you can use the junk to upgrade your taxi's turbo boost enough so you can drive into space. This is taken 100% seriously by everyone. It plays like a slapstick GTA mixed with Mario Odyssey, and its a treat. HIghly recommended for fans of relaxing open-world games, addicting collectathons, and/or games with a unique artstyle and oddball sense of humor.
