Followed the development of this game for a while. I didn't buy it before because I saw negative reviews. But, I played through a free weekend and was stunned by its current state and decided to buy it. As a true tennis lover, playing and competing in tennis before, this game scratches the tennis itch the most compared to all other tennis games I played (AO Tennis games, Top Spin 4/2k25, Virtua Tennis 3/4 etc.) I would say the biggest advantage of this game is a huge pool of current ATP players, 70 if I am not mistaken (honestly not a WTA fan but I can there are a lot of female players as well). All of those players have their own unique movements as well as VOICES which you can copy and use in the career mode. And ALL of them look better and more realistic than latest Top Spin. Another advantage that completely bought me is that it's the official game of the ATP and WTA, which means you will see all the sexy details such as: 1. "ATP TOUR" sewn in the middle of the net; 2. Score format at the bottom left corner of the screen is identical to the one we are seeing when watching tennis on TV; 3. Being able to play all 250, 500 as well as 1000 (Masters) tournaments, with their correct names, logos of the tournaments as well as realistic looks of the venues (unique Monte Carlo venue with mountains in the background or greenish hard surface in Rolex Paris Masters) 4. A fantastic game mode where we can relive Novak's moments while winning all 24 Grand Slams (AND a moment of winning an Olympic medal). The huge thing here is you can actually relive it as Novak and his opponents are dressed exactly as they were dressed when that match really happened. I am sure Roger's and Rafa's moments will be coming to this game mode as well. 5. The best mechanics so far in the tennis game where I am finally not playing an unbalanced game where, at one moment, I am winning 6:0 6:0 on hard, and then losing 0:6 0:6 on expert, but rather I am having a hard time and playing some really close matches. Also, there is always a possibility you will hit the net or strike the ball wide which results in SENSEFUL and NORMAL ratio of Winners/Unforced Errors unlike in other games where each point is a winner. Also I'd love to see a difference in celebrating the point and audience cheering in regards to the point. I really don't feel it when my player raises his fist and shouts with wide open at 0:0 and 15:0 :D With that being said, I am really looking forward to see a continuous support on this game and hopefully next step could be improving the graphics, which is, I would say, the only slight disadvantage of the game at this moment but STILL one of the best tennis graphics ever, as we tennis lovers never actually got a true tennis game. This just might be the one.

I own and played most of the tennis games like all the Top spin , all the Virtua tennis, Grand slam tennis, ao tennis, tennis world tour, tennis elbow, mario tennis... This is the first time in over 30 years playing tennis video games that we are blessed with such a big roster from both the atp and wta. So many tournaments to choose, the quality of the graphics and player faces and animations....All I can say, thank you Big ant studios. I have played all your tennis games and see that you have been hard at work to improve the quality of your tennis games. Keep it up. I definitely recommend this game to anyone that love tennis...Did I mention that you can also create your own venues, players and tournaments and share with the community like in AO tennis 2?.. Plus the game continue to receive regular support and update to improve it.

I wont be writing too long. 1st of all this is the best tennis game on the market. TopSpin only took licences from BigAnt but the gameplay was always on the Ants side and still is. Anybody who wants to play a good tennis simulation should take this game for sure. But as I played years ago the AO1 and AO2 games and I consider myself the TIEBREAK as an actual AO3 to be honest I got some minor problems with this one. - We lost a possibility to match created venues to the WTA/ATP tournamets. We can only asign a venue to the Challenegers in Career mode. Its a shame becoz for example Adelaide or Auckland have generic stadiums, yet there are very nice venues in the community to replace them but we wont be able to use them in career mode. - I am very pleased to see so many real players in WTA but if they really wished to make this game close to reality, I cant understad why there is lack of some top players like, Jabeur, Rybakina, Linette, Krejcikova, Collins, Vondrousova, Siniakova, CIrstea, Muchova, Fręch, Kalinina, and I could name few others. - As I was ok in AO2 with generic but very nice looking slams of US, Paris and London, I totally loved real AO tournament with real arenas, and I hoped here for even expanded AO with new Kia Arena but instead we got anoher generic slam, propably due to licecnces lost to 2K. This is a huge shame. - few minor issues still hurts like, no female umpires, no players announcements before the game (they was there in EA7 update), strange angles in replays of the shots, looks like bugged to me. - Character customization is also not good to me becoz, yes we can use real branded clothes for our players but still there are no all available, becoz real players we got in carees uses some Adidas or Nike clothes that we cant find in character customizations. I wonder why. Plus the generic patterns are only two to choose. Why? why You didn let us use more variants with long sleeves, underpants, shorts etc. The community comes with bunch of logos and colors, we could be able to create very cool clothes on different generic patterns but we cant. So overall, this game has some issues but that was obvious its gonna be like that. But its still very satisfying tennis simulator. Top Spin is no match to TIEBREAK. Maybe the devs wont abandon this game like they did with their previous games, and many of the things I pointed above will be fixes.

Iā€™ve been on the fence for a while on buying this game, especially with all the negative reviews. However, I really liked how much effort the developers are putting into responding to the community, and I decided to try it out. The good: The speed of the ball is fast, and I think the power system for shots works pretty well (although support for haptics would make it 10 times better). The models for the players are pretty realistic overall, and sometimes if I play a good point, it really does feel pretty realistic. The preparation system is also a good touch. The bad: The movement of the players is still janky. Although a bit better, the game still feels like AO Tennis 2 with the icy courts. I think part of the reason why it feels that way is because every player can cover the whole court as if they are peak Rafa. It doesnā€™t make sense that Medvedev can hit a volley and then sprint all the way back to the baseline fast enough to hit a forehand winner. Speaking of the players, although their faces are pretty good, their movements are very robotic in cut scenes. Thereā€™s no difference in the way 2 different players move. Now Iā€™m not saying to deep analyze every player for their exact movements, but at least some big things like celebrations and frustration should be player unique. Which brings me to my last request: Please change the positive/negative reaction button and just bake it into the way the players move. It completely breaks any immersion if a player hits a good shot and just kinda stands there for a while and then suddenly celebrate. These are the few things I noticed the most while playing. Obviously, I donā€™t have that much playtime, so I will probably notice more bugs and stuff, but these are the biggest things. I really hope you donā€™t give up on this game, maybe with enough time, Tiebreak can at least be a solid competitor to an overly-priced Topspin 2K25.
