I enjoyed this. For less than a dollar on sale worth it, just wish it had achievements.

Tick Tock Isle is a bite-sized adventure game that pays homage to the point-and-click adventures of old but trims absolutely all the fat and leaves you with a condensed and charming experience. The game has an inventory, a map, and several screens of the titular island and the house on it, but the game only has four buttons, and three of them are directional movement keys. In short, the game streamlines all interactions and inventory fiddling by handing out items for you and using them in the environment when appropriate. The result is a roughly 1 hour long game (a bit less if you have great sense of direction and a bit of luck) peppered with classic nonsensical item and NPC combinations you used to have in SCUMM games and a neat little ending that ties everything together... or does it? Some find the straightforward interface limiting and grating, but I found it brilliant; go into this game with without expecting more than what it has on offer and I think you won't be disappointed. Tick Tock Isle hides a surprising amount of creativity and attention to detail wrapped in a little time-traveling package. And it's got a couple of poems in there too! For the price tag, it's an absolute steal and a great way to try something different.

This game is a STEAL for 99 cents! What the heck!? It's "short" being a couple hours to complete everything most likely, BUT I prefer that honestly, like watching a good movie. It was extremely cool and funny and rewarding to work through this story.
