I can't say anything that hasn't already been said in support of this game. It had a great story, the voice narration was a compelling element, the gameplay was challenging but not 'nightmare' difficulty. In all, the very model of a solid, well-executed game concept worth every bit of whatever you pay for it.

Simply Brilliant. Never thought a bunch of rectangles and squares could have so much personality. Excellent narration and writing. Puzzles were neatly designed too. Only chore was switching between shapes. Other than that outstanding game

I really enjoyed my time revisiting Thomas Was Alone. I played it roughly 10 years ago when it came out and decided to play through it again on the Steam Deck. This was a great choice because I forgot how lively its story is. The game is a good example of how a narrative can really shape your emotions as you control characters in a video game. So yes, even though you are controlling squares and rectangles and you are solving puzzles, the story gives a huge context as to what is actually happening. Oh, and I also forgot how awesome the soundtrack was! Overall, if you are looking for a short, relaxing but also emotional and well-written puzzle game, then really look no further. Thomas Was Alone is one of the best out there!

Deceifully simple. The background story adds a layer of complexity that feels quite deep. I'd love to play this game again on mobile

A game made with passion the whole way through. A huge breath of fresh air from the big-budget artificially stretched out slogs. Thomas Was Alone makes great use of narration, atmosphere, and puzzles. Short and sweet! P.S. The music is disproportionately loud compared to gameplay sounds. Crank down the music volume slider a lot.
