They have an online mode to build a city together! If you're looking for a simple and relaxing city-building simulation game, TheoTown is your answer. [H3]Review : About Description Gᴀᴍᴇᴘʟᴀʏ TheoTown is a city-builder simulation game that is so simple, even a 5-year-old kid can play it, unlike me struggling at 8 with old SimCity. What do I expect, even babies in the belly have phones these days. what a world we're living in. If you're looking for a non-chaotic city simulation and has it own generated seed map that doesn't feature fast growth like many other games, this game has its own approach. It doesn't have much depth to dive into. it's so simple that even managing demands like commercial, industry, or any other zone makes no sense. If you let your game run on its own, you'll have no worries about demand or complaints because it runs on its own. Honestly, playing this game makes me want to revisit Cities: Skylines since SimCity 5 isn't available on Steam, which is too bad. Again, not that TheoTown is bad. it just has its own thing, but the lack of depth makes me question the waiting time for your city to grow, which takes too long and isn't worth the wait. Gʀᴀᴘʜɪᴄ I have no complaints about pixel graphics, unlike many people who grew up with PlayStation and mock pixel graphics while enjoying pixelated blur on porn. To be honest, TheoTown's graphics are completely good, and the numerous color palette options give the game a different look. Mᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴀʏᴇʀ Like my title suggests, you can play this game online, where you can upload your region and share it with the public or your friends. If I remember correctly, this game is also available on the phone, though I'm not sure about cross-platform compatibility because I'm into PC. On the phone, you need to pay to upload your region, but in the PC version, there's this weird invincible coin. You get one each time you run the game every day, and if you reach a certain amount of coins, you can upload your region, and people can join and build a city together. Cᴏɴᴛʀᴏʟ Played with mouse and keyboard Pʟᴀʏᴛɪᴍᴇ I've almost reached 10 hours, perhaps it depends on your taste. I played this game longer on mobiles once. Sorry, HLTB has no further data on this, but hey, it's a city builder game, so why bother with playtime. Sᴛᴏʀʏ Well, it's just you as a mayor building your cities, raising taxes, and not caring about public services. It feels like my goverment who raises taxes without adding public services for the people, only caring about high-income zones and providing more services to the rich zones. Sad. PC ᴘᴏʀᴛ Tested OS Windows 10 Pro | 64 Bit, Version 22H2. Hardware CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5700G GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 8GB RAM 16 GB DDR4 Performance Test • 60 FPS. • Run on SSD. • HD resolution. • CPU | low usage • GPU | Low Usage Game Optimization Usually, the fast-forward feature eats up many resources, but this game doesn't. That's a plus from me. Bᴜɢ / 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗 • Slow population. demand seems so random in this game. • You can't build government buildings before reaching a certain population threshold. Dang governors only intervene and start collecting taxes when a city becomes successful on its own, not by their help. so asian. • Transportation doesn't really have depth. it's just random vehicles spawning on the road. I tried making a single long road with one house, and the road spawned like 50 vehicles on that road alone, with no apparent purpose. Now you know how simple this game is. ⓘ Build ID 13134509 DLC Glad it wasn't Paradox or EA. both those developers seem equally greedy to one another. Exᴛʀᴀ [VALVᴱ] Suggested Region Price Correct : 9 Cheaper : 29 Overprice : 2 Overal score : 8.3/10 (The reason why i bought this game) Community Health ✗ Toxic ✗ Moderator/Developer Problem Note : If you want that old SimCity nostalgic gameplay, pick this game. Oᴘᴘɪɴɪᴏɴ For those who love relaxing games, this game was too relaxing for me. The weird demand mechanics were pretty hard to predict, especially when you wanted to build a specific building and needed to reach a certain population. It makes you feel forced to play on sandbox difficulties. Rᴇᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴅᴇᴅ? Yes.
