This game makes you happy, sad, smirky, suicidal, claustrophobic, heroic, stoned and hopeless. Not necessarily in that order. But above all, it makes you think about the futility of life. Excellent script, great graphics, great sound, and above all, great voice casting. I kinda had the original version of this game spoiled for me by watching YouTube let's plays, and so when more endings were announced I was excited to finally have a chance to play through this game blind. However, I feel like I had more fun watching someone else play this game than playing it myself. This is still a fantastic game, but when there's not much game play besides walking down corridors and listening to the narrator, I started wondering if it was worth owning it myself. To summarise, if you know nothing about the Stanley Parable, buy it! But if you've seen a let's play of it before, it might not be worth getting...

As a nongamer, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe was a fun introduction into what games can be. I did not play the original and outside of playing Sims here or there, this was the first game I have truely played through to completion. While the narration does get a bit long at times, the overall narrative is compelling and the narration adds a unique depth to the game. This is a game I have played and come back to still able to enjoy the content all over again. I would highly recommend this to anyone, but especially those who like to take their time exploring options and those who are new to gaming like myself. It makes for a fun and memorable first gaming experience!
