Great point-and-click game, but the controls are overly complicated. Sometimes, even when I’m sure what to do, it doesn’t work because I’m using "Use" instead of "Give." Sometimes it’s "Push," and I’m doing "Pull." I know that’s how the game was originally designed, but I really wish there were an alternative option. Everything else—story, humor, puzzles—is perfect.

This is barely a positive recommendation. The original game was great, and it's great that you can switch freely between them, because the remaster has issues. The interface of the original game felt dated when it came out, but worked okay. The remaster tries to update the interface, but with limited success - and in many cases the compromise between what a modern audience expects from an interface and the archaic old interface is downright worse than the old interface. It is often needlessly frustrating to play this game - the fight is with the interface to solve a puzzle you know conceptually how to do, and this is a terrible thing for any game, but especially a point and click adventure game. It doesn't help that having played the game as a kid, and imagined what the pixelated graphics would look like - the update graphics often don't match my imagination of what the characters should look like. But - the music is all spot on - as I remember the music rather than how the music actually was - and the voice acting is great. I've only found one or two characters so far that don't sound how I think they should sound. What I want is to play the old game with the new music and the voice acting - but this will do.

I’m glad this was my first point-and-click adventure. The writing is humorous, the pixel art looks gorgeous & the voice acting is fantastic. However, due to being a complete novice, I felt overly reliant on the hint system

Simply my favorite videogame ever. Nice, fun and catchy story. The puzzles and the jokes in this game are just remarkable. Been playing it since I was a kid, so I know the game from start to finish by heart. Definitely a must play. No one should die without playing this game at least once.

Im 40 years old and I had always seen YouTube videos of the best games of the 90s etc and this game was always talking about. (Not the SE version but still). I finally decided to have a peak into the past and I'M GLAD I DID! This game was surprisingly FUN and very entertaining. Not having played point and click games in a long long time I was very rusty and had to YouTube some help but I finally finished it and wish I could play it all over again like I did....but knowing NOTHING about it. A++++ Do yourself a favor and PLAY THIS GAME!
