Being a fan of David's work (particularly Chop Goblins), I decided to buy this game! It's a cool little title where you navigate through a dark factory, killing mutated unicorn/human hybrids with your pistol. The pistol shoots faster the longer you hold the trigger, which is a satisfying mechanic that I can't recall seeing in any other games. That being said, this is (obviously) not a high-speed boomer shooter where you're constantly fragging enemies and hopping around like Gordon Freeman. It's slower, and has a stronger focus on presentation/atmosphere than gameplay. No running, and no jumping. Just shooting and a small story told by pages found throughout. It must be stated that this game is extremely short, clocking in at about 33 minutes. The asking price is pretty inoffensive (especially for an indie), but it should definitely be considered before purchase. There are also a few modes to help with replayability, though I think you'd have to be a specific type to run through the game multiple times as it's very linear. If you're okay with spending a few dollars for a half-hour experience w/ optional replay modes for challenge (with the added bonus of supporting an indie dev), then, yes, I recommend this game . Ideally, a title this short would be free, but I understand game development is *not* free.

"A rainbow's tale isn't quite as nice as a story we knew of sugar and spice but a rainbow's easy once you get to know it with the help of the magic of the Pegasus Device" A surprisingly good game that's pretty reminiscent of Cry of Fear.

I don't know how David Szymanski keeps managing to make games based exactly on whatever genre or niche I thought "Wow, I wish someone would make something like this again." about. I play Quake and Blood, he makes DUSK. I play Doom 3, he makes The Pony Factory, I play Manhunt & Condemned, he's making that now. It's getting weird. Stop looking at my Recently Played for inspiration. Anyways, this is a short half hour long horror game where you can't have a flashlight and your gun out at the same time. No duct tape mod to be found. You need to scan your surroundings quickly to check what's out there, then fire at where it might be. Muzzle flash also lights things up, but ammo is a limited resource. I had good fun with it, and I'll probably play it again on one of the challenge modes in the future. This release also includes some goodies and the soundtrack in the files. Lovely little treat.

The W-A-S-D tutorial at the start implies the very real chance this could be someone's first PC game.
