This game is actually scary if you are able to allow yourself to be immersed in the story and environment. The game's design is smart with its mortician based objectives to keep you focused on the tasks at hand, but just when you let your guard down, you'll see a spooky surprise popping up somewhere to remind you that your job of assisting in the mortuary is not limited to preparing bodies...

Best horror game I have played! I totally recommend it to everyone. It can really scare you and the random events...there are so many. You can replay it multiple times and see new stuff happening. I challenge you guys to play it alone at night and with headphones. Thanks to the developer. You, sir, are a genius!

Great game with lots of fun jumpscares and story lore. Though the process of embalming bodies can feel repetitive, the interactive demon encounters can keep things spiced up for you. They also continue to update and add fun holiday and seasonal aspects to the game as well as a NEW ending! I'm looking forward to seeing if they add any more to the story as it seems like the devs have left it open for more to come.

Never Thought Horror/Work-sim Could Be This Good. Things I Like About The Mortuary Assistant: 1. Subtlety. No cheap jumpscare. No loud noises. This is how a good horror game should be done. It slowly messes with you with sounds and distant voices, and gradually intensifies the horror meter the longer you stay. When the demon shows itself, you know it's too late to turn back. 2. I know nothing of embalming bodies, yet I enjoy the process of preserving the dignity of the deceased. 3. Multiple endings to achieve. Each one is quite interesting. Thing I Dislike About The Mortuary Assistant: Multi-tasking I wish the game could let me do things simultaneously.
