If you have a good amount of friends, or don't mind bots and the occassional random joining the fray, this is the game for you. Otherwise, I would avoid. What a shame this underrated gem didn't pan out.

The Mean Greens is a pretty solid and imaginative shooter multiplayer game (which was obviously inspired by the Army Men series of games), which at some point seems to have sold over 1 million copies. Unfortunately, online multiplayer is pretty much dead nowadays. I was able to find a match with three other people... but that's a rare occurrence. It seems the game does have bots you can play against, but it doesn't provide a straightforward way of just setting up a match with bots under your desired game mode, which is a shame. It should just offer a simple "Play against bots" option. Also, the game does offer a short tutorial to teach you the basics of how to play, which is appreciated. So, although The Mean Greens is pretty much dead, and it will most likely not receive any more updates, I DO recommend it if: - You have friends to play with - Wait to get it with a 90%+ discount At this point, the devs should just make the game free to play to attract more players, maybe open up a Patreon or something similar for it, and advertise a Discord community so fans of the game can find each other, and set up more regular playing sessions. Additionally, for anyone who marks reviews they dislike and/or disagree with as "funny", when the review in question is not humorous: Doing that is not an argument , and doesn't make your opinion the right one :)

The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare is a funny and playful multiplayer shooter that still looks and plays great after almost a decade. For a small package and even smaller soldiers this game packs a big punch. The animation style graphics are sharp and the lighting effects are really well done. The controls feel smooth and the aiming is accurate. Combat is fast paced and you always come equipped with a small arsenal of weapons ensuring you're ready for action. The maps are well designed and outrageous, and there are lots to chose from. There is also a nice variety in game modes and all are very unique and fun to play. The official servers are usually inactive, but you will still see some people playing from time to time. You can even host your own server and play with bots which is a nice addition and adds some challenge. I didn't myself but I can see playing this game with friends to be a blast. A lot of the time playing I felt as if I was in a Toy Story game which was cool and nostalgic. This game is very friendly and casual so its easy to enjoy and there is a lot of replay value. There are some minor menu user interface issues and the game can be a little buggy but its very minor and in a way adds to the charm. This game goes on sale for $1-$2 which is a great deal. Overall I enjoyed playing this game and its gets a big thumbs up and salute from me. It’s a good 3rd person shooter. Unfortunately no player base. It’s a shame. The devs have added content, more maps and game modes. They have also added bots to fill servers up . Before when I 1st played this , there wasn’t any. Which meant if there isn’t anyone playing it really is a dead game. So you can at least play this solo now. It’s a shame no one plays it, the gameplay is good, the maps are well thought out. Really this game should do well as all age groups can play this . Maybe the game needs some more marketing. But perhaps some more single player content or co-op . Another hope is a console release with crossplay would help, gamepass or something would help get people to try it at least.
