Fun, quick Lego game to 100%. Only 15 levels with an estimated time of 15 hours to 20 hours to 100%. Compared to other very grindy Lego games I've played in the past, this was a nice easy-going game to play for a little bit. Here is a list of bugs I ran into and what I did to resolve the issues: Level 1 - (Free play) Unable to enter the dance mini-game. I got it to work by having no extras turned on and building both speakers while playing as the original level characters (Emmet and Gail). Level 3 - (Story) When needing to attack the 4 robots in the alley, 1 of them got stuck behind an unbreakable door. Had to replay the level multiple times until I was able to kill him through the wall. Level 4 - (Free play) On the last area where you're getting chased, I was going the opposite direction around the track so I was unable to destroy the 3 caravans for the last gold manual of the level. Had to just keep replaying the level until I was going in the correct direction. Level 7 - (Both story & Free play) Cut scene soft locks because Abraham Lincoln falls off the edge. Had to turn VSync on to fix this. Bonus Room: When driving the little car, game lagged very badly which made the car gold brick not optainable. Had to turn VSync to the 30Hz option to make the car not lag. Additionally, I somehow managed to get a character stuck a handful of times. Overall, the game is fun and I'd give it like a 7/10. If it wasn't for so many bugs I experienced I would've rated it higher. Buy the game when it's on sale and you can get it for a low price of $2. Typical Lego game so it's fun for any age to play. I do not recommend buying the 2nd Lego Movie Video game. That game is quite poor and no way comparable to this one.

The LEGO® Movie Videogame – A Fun, Brick-Building Adventure The LEGO® Movie Videogame is a charming and colorful action-adventure that captures the humor and creativity of the hit movie. Players take on the role of Emmet, an ordinary construction worker who, through a series of unlikely events, becomes the “Special” prophesied to save the LEGO universe. The game follows the movie’s plot closely, delivering the same witty dialogue, playful humor, and vibrant visual style that fans loved on the big screen. The gameplay combines classic LEGO-style exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat, with a twist of creativity. Players can switch between multiple characters, each with unique abilities that help solve puzzles and unlock new areas. The environments are filled with interactive elements that let you build, break, and rebuild, staying true to LEGO’s core mechanics. While the platforming and combat are simple, the fun lies in the exploration and satisfying brick-based destruction. The game does a great job of keeping things lighthearted, which makes it approachable for players of all ages. However, while the charm of the game is undeniable, it does have its shortcomings. The puzzles can feel repetitive, and the game often relies on basic mechanics that might not provide much challenge for seasoned LEGO game fans. The storyline, while fun, doesn’t offer much depth and tends to follow a predictable path. Furthermore, the camera controls can be awkward at times, particularly in tight spaces or while in combat. Visually, the game shines, with a colorful and dynamic world that looks like it jumped straight out of the LEGO Movie. The environments are detailed and imaginative, capturing the quirky, fun vibe of the film. However, the gameplay can feel slightly monotonous, as the lack of variety in mission types and objectives may deter players from staying engaged for long stretches. Overall, The LEGO® Movie Videogame offers an enjoyable and entertaining experience, especially for younger players or LEGO movie fans. Its humor, creativity, and fun visuals make up for its more predictable gameplay and lack of depth, making it a lighthearted and enjoyable adventure. Score: 78/100

10 years ago, when I was 8 years old. My mom had bought me this game for the ps3 from Gamestop. I was a really big fan of Legos and the movie back then so this was a great fit. My brother and I would play this game together sometimes and it was really special to me since we hardly had things in common... My parents got divorced later that year and ever since then my brother would go off to college. I am now writing this 10 years later and I can't play this game now. Because it makes me depressed to think about the time that has passed and the memories. If anyone reads this. Love your family members because time goes by way too quick.

The LEGO® Movie Videogame captures the charm and humor of the film with fun, family-friendly gameplay. Featuring creative puzzles and action-packed levels, it's a delightful experience for kids and LEGO fans. However, the repetitive mechanics may feel limiting and boring for older players.
