The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 2 - So, usually when you play the second instalment of a game, it's better than the first, and usually you'd be about 95% correct. In this case, it is the other 5%. Now, don't get me wrong, the gameplay aspect itself is great, new enemy variety, great mechanics still, choices to be made, new characters, old characters. Where the issue comes in is when playing this with friends. For some odd reason, the game would completely desync and you'd actually lose your character. So here's a quick overview of how we played almost 35 hours and all ended up with the same character: I was demon hunter, my one friend was also demon hunter and my wife was elementalist. About 5-10 hours in, my wife's game desyncs and she couldn't recover her character anymore and had no characters on the character selection screen. She, understandably, was very upset that she lost her character and couldn't continue with her customized and personal character anymore. I gave her my character and we continued. A couple of hours in, I desynced and lost my character. So I was extremely upset, because between me and Eazy, I had a ton more damage (because the skill trees are very similar to the 1st game and I understood the synergies) so I was the dps glass cannon and he was the tanky dps dealer. I then copied my character from my wife so now there were 1 Eazy and 2 Dreaderz. Couple of hours later, someone desyncs and we lost characters. Long story short, because Eazy was the host, his character never got lost and at the end of the final boss, there were 3 Eazy's and we all had to swap out gear and characters as we went along because we didn't have our own. When it comes to the game? Great game, continuation of the previous, with a bigger story and more side quests, but when it comes to the coop aspect and all the bugs and troubles that came with it? Horrible. Highly recommend if you want to play with buddies, be smart, backup your character or just simply, be the host ;)

I recently had the pleasure of playing through The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II and let me just say, it blew me away. As a fan of action RPGs, I have played many, including the highly anticipated Diablo IV, but I have to say, Van Helsing II is far superior. Not only does it improve on its predecessor in every way, but it also brings a unique and fresh take on the genre. First and foremost, the gameplay in Van Helsing II is so much more fluid and dynamic compared to Diablo IV. The combat mechanics have been refined and the addition of new skills and abilities adds depth to the gameplay. It truly feels like you are controlling a badass vampire hunter, with swift and powerful attacks that keep you engaged and on your toes. The skill trees are well-designed and allow for a variety of playstyles, making it more enjoyable and replayable. One of the biggest improvements in Van Helsing II is the storytelling and character development. The writing is sharp and witty, with a perfect blend of humor and seriousness. The characters are well-developed and have their own unique personalities that you can’t help but become invested in. Diablo IV, on the other hand, felt lackluster in terms of story and character development, with generic and unmemorable characters. In terms of graphics, Van Helsing II takes the crown. The visuals are stunning, bringing to life a dark and gothic world filled with intricate details. Every location, from the haunting city of Borgovia to the sprawling dungeons, is beautifully crafted. Not only that, but the game also has a seamless day and night cycle, which adds to the immersion. Furthermore, Van Helsing II introduces new game modes, such as the Tower Defense mini-game and the cooperative multiplayer mode, which adds even more variety and depth to the gameplay. It is clear that the developers put a lot of thought and effort into expanding the game’s content, making it a truly incredible experience. Overall, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II is a remarkable game that excels in every aspect. It has improved on the first game in every way and sets the bar high for future action RPGs. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling and immersive gaming experience. In my opinion, it is far superior to Diablo IV and a must-play for any fan of the genre. Bravo, Van Helsing II, you have truly impressed me.
