I liked The House of Da Vinci 2 much better than the first one. The interfaces are better, the story is more interesting, and the puzzles are more logical (less try-it-out luck involved). Definitely recommend!

over all decent, good escape room type experience. Only gripes are have are small, like how there were many times where I thought an object was not fully movable yet due to it falling back when my my hit the edge of the screen while pulling it, only to figure out after 20 minutes of being stuck that it had to be pulled further. Who ever put that in either has a wide screen as a monitor or is a sadist.

The House of Da Vinci 2 serves as both a prequel and a sequel to the original, showing how the protagonist first came to be an apprentice of Leonardo Da Vinci, and then continuing where his story left off after the ending of part 1. Where the first game felt largely inspired by the Room series, part 2 finds its own identity with the inclusion of cutscenes that explore the characters, delving into a mystery that spans years. I recommend this game if you're a fan of the genre. The puzzles are challenging, the sets are gorgeous, and the story is intriguing. If you are interested in playing for the story, I'd suggest starting with the first installment, as this game expects you to be familiar with the events that occurred in it. However the puzzles can be played through without any prior knowledge.

Overall this a good game, its set in an interesting period in history, has an interesting backstory picking up from the first release and continues on into a third game. My main problems with it is the gliding movement , it is a first person game but it gives the impression your floating on air in the movements and the forced camera angles is v strict also. i would have preferred a free camera view and more of an impression of the charactor walking around at your own will. Some of the puzzles can be frustrating too at times but i would still say its a decent game overall. 6.5/10
