The Hand of Merlin executes well on it's turn-based strategy gameplay and I think it succeeds in being engaging, but not cumbersome, despite it's longer runs compared to most roguelike games. For a more in depth review, check out my video below! https://youtu.be/XO-ZjPTeXUQ

This is a pretty good combination of roguelike and a strategy game. The plot is pretty good too. Not sure it would be great over a lot of replays but is worth getting for a couple playthroughs at least.

A pretty good little game for what you get. It reminds me of a simpler XCOM but with magic, lower price, and with lower quality graphics. Don't expect to get 60+ hours of game-play out of it. I was honestly a little disappointed that it took me less than 5 hours to beat the game for the first time. If you are in to replaying the story and working to get more heros then you will get more out of this game than I did. That said, it was a fun time while it lasted. Also, though it does allegedly have OSX support, it would not run on my apple silicon macbook.
