The Guest is a relatively short puzzle game, but it packs a lot of challenge into that time. Some puzzles were tougher than I initially expected, but the rhythm-based puzzle was absolute peak hell for me! That one really tested my patience. However, aside from that, the atmosphere of the game was fantastic, and the overall plot kept me engaged throughout. It’s a well-crafted experience, even if a bit frustrating at times. If you're up for a mix of clever puzzles and a strong narrative, it’s definitely worth a try.

Escape room game. Fun to figure things out for yourself w/o a guide... but I'm dumb and needed a few hints. I was a little annoyed by the disorienting hallway puzzle. I had fun though, and that's what matters. Hope the devs continue making games.

I managed to bag this game in a sale for under a pound and it was a great find. The Guest is a genuinely good escape room game, with plenty of very good puzzles (minus a few questionable additions, like the labyrinth, and one that relies on hearing and listening to musical notes, which will pose problems to some people). The story isn't very well fleshed out, ending abruptly, but the game offers a decent puzzle-solving challenge for a few hours, and it allows you to save your progress at any time, so you don't have to worry about lost progress. As a fan of puzzle games in general, for me this game is frankly a steal.
